To Shoot a Cop

In an ideal world, cops would do nothing except protect people from thieves and attackers, in which case shooting a cop would never be justified.

In the real world, however, far more injustice, violence, torture, theft, and outright murder has been committed IN THE NAME of “law enforcement,” than has been committed in spite of it.

To get a little perspective, try watching a documentary or two about some of the atrocities committed by the regimes of Stalin, or Lenin, or Chairman Mao, or Hitler, or Pol Pot, or any number of other tyrants in history. Pause the film when the jackboots are about to herd innocent people into cattle cars, or gun them down as they stand on the edge of a ditch, and THEN ask yourself the question, “When should you shoot a cop?” Keep in mind, the evils of those regimes were committed in the name of “law enforcement.” And as much as the statement may make people cringe, the history of the human race would have been a lot LESS gruesome if there had been a lot MORE “cop-killers” around to deal with the state mercenaries of those regimes.

Sometimes I read your rants and go, well that makes sense.. Other times I just shake my head.

COPS don’t protect ANYONE but themselves 99% of the time, they patrol in hopes to prevent crime by visual deterrent, they run the yellow tape, they get names after a crime, they respond FIRST AFTER the crime has already been committed. Ask any cop and they’ll tell you, most of their job is driving, taking reports and responding to calls AFTER THE FACT.

So if you really have it this bad for the cops, its a bit like blaming the shit for burning your ass on its way out rather than the burrito vendor on the corner for that part lab part cat lunch you ate.

Personally, I know there’s some bad boy cops out there and I’ve not met a bad cop yet. Nobody I know has had any “Bad experiences” with our local PD. Not one, not my kids, not any of my friends, not anyone at the range… I see video’s of bad cops doing something on a video here and there. And it makes a lot of sense that BAD COPS get publicity. The good ones, the vast majority of good cops don’t elicit the ‘Shit cop” instinct.

Carry on Ken, I know this comment will probably elicit the “Cop lover” bullshit, but you know I call it like I see it. When there’s a bad cop, they need to be dealt with, thrown in the slam with the ones they put there no protection and video it for the preshift meet… That should be enough to sway bad one to think twice.

“Remember, under German law, everything Hitler did was legal.
    Everything Schindler did was illegal.”
