Kalashnikov USA announced on Tuesday that it is now selling AK-47 assault rifles and shotguns that have been manufactured at a U.S. factory.

The Kalashnikov USA web site provides a menu of two rifles and two shotguns, all semiautomatics. One of the rifles features a curved, banana-style high-capacity magazine with 30 rounds.

Thank you Barack Obama for making this possible. We’re gonna beat the bastards. Now to look into buying one of these. Add it to my AK collection.

These are even for sale in Massachusetts. I’ll have to check my LGS for pricing.

I want to find out what the pricing is like. Honestly, in a day where you can knock an AR15 together for $400 with a bit of smart shopping, an AK that costs more than about $300 is overpriced.

I checked the AK-USA website and LO, my FLGS is listed. So I hustle my butt over there.
All AKs sold out. backordered. Current price: $499-$699.
?? Same exact price as an AR-15 ??
Yep. until AK-USA can start manufacturing here, price will reflect the cost of importing parts and assembling completed guns.
