LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE!!!!!

Y’all have seen several posts here concerning Sam and Holly Kerodin’s house, namely that it still hadn’t sold yet so just how in the hell did they finance their move and set up housekeeping in Idaho? We spent a couple of days trying to find out what we could about it, then George apparently got the bright idea of calling and talking to the realtor. Turns out we were barking up the wrong tree the whole time.

Well, the truth shall set you free!

Did a lot of research yesterday for nothing.

Karen S. Brown doesn’t matter.

The trust issue doesn’t matter.

Who really owns the house doesn’t matter.

What does matter?

Kerodin didn’t own 105 Meem Avenue.

It was a rental property!

Straight from the mouth of the Realtor!

George contacted the realtor (ironically also named Sam). The realtor just confirmed that it WAS a rental property.

Bingo. Another lie.

Another lie? How so?
Well, because Kerodin claimed he owned the fucking house. You can see it right here in his own words where he talks about closing escrow.

closing

And then there’s this from the next day (just so he can’t say he pulled a Hillary and ‘misspoke’).

closing 1

Now why in the fuck would he claim to own a home he’s renting? Could it possibly be so that he could say that he used the money from the sale to relocate? And if he didn’t have anything from the sale, whose money did he use to do a personal relocation? I mean, you can see right there in the first screenshot in his own words that they needed the money for the move. Where did that money come from? Was it possibly the Founder’s money? Money solicited for a different ‘project’? The reason I’m asking is because I don’t recall him asking for donations for the purpose of relocating clear across the country.
Or did he get a refund from Amazon for the dojo equipment that he had shipped to Gaithersburg Maryland instead of it’s final detination in Idaho? Did he sell it for the money to make the move? That possibility has been brought up by a few people that donated for that. If Sammy would just post a picture of the inside of the dojo on his blog showing all the equipment (juicers included just for grins) that was bought for him by his readers, we could lay that thought to rest. He wouldn’t even have to say that it was in response to this post – that way none of his 3 readers would know questions are being asked and answered.
Matter of fact, if Sammy would just answer some of the questions that we’ve been asking we could lay a lot of shit to rest.
Questions, question, questions….. and no answers.

And if you want to see the tax records (proving ownership) for yourself, Tricky Dick has kindly supplied us with the links and instructions via a comment. Matter of fact he’s got a couple of nice tidbits about the Kerodins in there.

Here is the link to the Montgomery County Department of Finance:

And then this from Angel, also in the comments (emphasis mine):

In that first comment, he clearly stated that “the studio is finished renovations except our personal touches.” Fine, great, wonderful. Pics? There is no studio. Amazon said if the gifts were cancelled before delivery, there was an option of refunding the purchaser. If returned after, the recipient would be credited. Almost all of it had free returns. Just time and effort, take it back to UPS and rake in the dough.

If the folks who invested money with Scammy file charges ole Scammy looks like he may be headed back to the hoosegow.

  2. TwoSixty says:

“Scammy” – – now THAT is funny!

    • Wirecutter says:

Damn, you got smarts real good.
We knew about Karen Brown, but what we didn’t know was if she was related to one of the Kerodins and they acquired the house through her some way. It took a call to the realtor to find out that it had been a rental all along.

I guess my take away on this is, and I agree wholeheartedly on the outing of scam artists preying on people, ALWAYS perform your due dilligence before you hitch your wagon to someone’s horse.

Especially if they are blowing smoke up your skirt, even moreso if they are reaching a hand for your wallet.

    • Wirecutter says:

The thing is, Wes, it’s all these little things that are coming out as time goes on. I mean, who in the hell would doubt that the man was closing escrow on his house? It happens thousands of times daily across the U.S.
It really makes a man wonder how much more shit he’s lied about.

  4. Tricky Dicky says:

I found this at the Maryland Court Records Search – a $23,500 judgement against Holly Kerodin, filed in Montgomery County, on 1/31/2012:

    Go to: http://jportal.mdcourts.gov/judgment/index.jsf;jsessionid=9fb04ff7fb0d9412af99645580fc864f718a9d95d61efbc8669f9560011d2687.e3qLax8NbNmNe34Mchn0

Search for Holly Kerodin and get:

Nothing shows up for a Sam or Samuel – is that the first real name?

I simply am in awe of just how deep the rabbit hole goes. Not to toot my own horn but I knew he was sort of a childish person and had some crazy ideas. I knew he talked too much about how hard and awesome he is. I knew that he was trying really hard to make a buck from selling III stuff. I knew he might be a person who would succumb to the temptation of money “appropriation” . But, I did not really suspect that he was a common con man.

That IS what this all points to, a scam from the very beginning.

I suspect that physical reprisals are possible by those who were stolen from.

    The silence is deafening.

  7. d says:

Every single day that WC post about Scammy, the closer it seems that Scammy will face some type of criminal charges on top of the civil litigation he faces from those he stole from.

  8. If any part of his scam involved the U.S. Mail (soliciting donations that were sent by mail and misappropriated) and that can be proven, then it rises to the level of ANOTHER federal crime for Mr. K. The U.S. Postal Inspectors take a very dim view of that kind of shit. They would investigate him on their dime if you could show credible evidence of fraud via U.S, Mail. FedEx and UPS do not count.

  9. ck says:

….If you google the name ‘kerodin’ , you will eventually find that the name comes from a ‘dungeons & dragons’ fantasy game…… I would think with all the heat on him now, he’s invented a new name and a new place to run to.
