That’s the only thing I can think of, it’s a school.

    I can dig it, man.

  2. nancysjet says:

It is digging for survivors in a chinese mudslid

  3. Digger says:

Its a rescue operation in the Chinese landslide a few days ago

  4. WiscoDave says:

Based on a pic in this link might they be “shaping” a golf course?

  5. mjh10 says:

They are short of trucks. Just pass the dirt down hill from one to the other.

  6. Differ says:

At the risk of missing the joke, that looks like Chinese rescuers trying to dig people out of the landslide they had last week.

  7. General P. Malaise says:

saw something like this regarding mudslide in China which buried houses.

  8. Bob says:

I can’t think of a school that could afford that many rigs for the students to play with.

  9. Unclezip says:

Or it’s the best demolition derby ever!! Up here the farmers bring out the old combines for derby. Lots of slow-moving fun and destruction.

  10. Bill says:

I believe that is the aftermath of the mudslide in China last week. They’re searching for people / bodies

  11. Zack says:

I think that was being used by the wire services as an actual photo of the site of a recent mudslide in China. Dunno if it is in fact an actual “site photo” of something from the stock archives.

  12. DD says:

That looks like a fine example of progressive’s in government. They wanted a dam (or whatever) built fast, so their solution is to spend it fast. Hire a bunch of idiots, buy lots of equipment, and have no fucking plan (kind of like our foreign policy).

  13. wes says:

Rescue ops in that giant landslide that hit Shenzhen China

  14. Brian says:

Landslide from a clean fill construction dump site in China.

  15. Brian says:

Might be that landslide site in China. I saw a drone image, and the number of back hoes was incredible.

  16. Jive Talkinfool says:

…it appears to be a zoom from a larger image(or series of images) from Al Jazeera reporting on a post-landslide search in Shenzhen, China dated 23-Dec-2015:

  17. RustyGunner says:

Nah, this is the farm where they grow trackhoes.

  18. Army Engineer School at Ft. Leonard Wood?

  19. SapperLdr says:

    Chinese landslide recovery.

  20. Mike says:

Recovery efforts following landslide in Shenzhen, China

  21. czechsix says:

Either that, or a Chinese mining operation somewhere in Africa….or maybe Brazil.

  22. ofaycat says:

I think they are getting more serious about finding Jimmy Hoffa’s body.

  23. r says:

It looks too unorganized for a school. Add the hummocky terrain which allows one machine to totter above another and its a real cluster. At first I was reminded of YT vids I’ve seen of RC construction equipment. Yes, there are clubs that stage events. Those guys run equipment like a demolition derby. Funnier than heck especially considering that it is likely the ultimate in nerd.

Anyway, the pic looks like a 3rd world surfacing mining operation. Somewhere tropical, denuded of all vegetation.

  24. fjord says:

    Someone lost a contact lens

  25. cwac says:

It’s one of those shovel ready jobs

  26. bison guy says:

There was a mudslide in China?
