New Black Panthers chapter formed in BR, LA

BATON ROUGE – Baton Rouge residents gathered Saturday afternoon to form the newest chapter of the New Black Panther Party.

The New Black Panthers arrived in Baton Rouge last Saturday to protest the officer-involved shooting death of 37-year-old Alton Sterling. Two videos of the shooting sparked national outcry and protests across Baton Rouge.

Jerald Justice said the group was approached by local residents like Edwin Smith to help establish a Baton Rouge chapter.

“It is time for new leadership and a new organization to step forward in Baton Rouge,” Smith said. “I feel like the New Black Panther Party is the organization that can bring new leadership to Baton Rouge.”

Founders met Saturday to formally establish the chapter as well as gather names for new members. WBRZ News 2’s Earl Phelps was able to briefly attend the event on the condition that he does not reveal the meeting’s location.

That’s the nice thing about living near a town with less than 2 dozen black folks in it and none between town and me. We ain’t gotta put up with that trash.

Yeah, it sounds like a nightmare down there, especially with today’s shooting. In my Valley we had one black lady living here and she was awesome. No one really cares what colour someone is here as long as they work. Same for natives. There is a reserve at the mouth of the river, but since there is no town with a 7/11 to shuffle to and buy green pop on the taxpayer dime, it remains empty. There is only one long time family of natives in our valley and they own their own land, pay taxes, and they all work. I think for me that is the issue, people need to take responsibility for who they are and quit blaming others.

Yeah, chapter formed on Saturday, and cops shot in an apparent ambush on Sunday.

I see no coincidence there, at all.

The Black Panther party – Making nice white people scared of black people since the 60’s.

Like Andrew, I see the ambush shooting of a bunch of cops in the same city where the militant black racists have just set up shop to be totes unrelated and unexpected. Also, I have a bridge for sale in Brooklyn, and islam means peace. Gotcha linked at my place, BTW. I occasionally remember that I still have a blog.

Nothing good can possibly come of this.
Thanks for all the Baton Rouge updates.

Welcome to my world. I live 1 hour west of BR in Lafayette. I’ll tell you this, the Lafayette SD ain’t messing around. 14 Deputies showed up for a domestic violence disturbance last time I was off. They had to move a unit so the wife and I could get home. Shit is getting weird man I’ll tell you. It will be an all out war if either side can’t collect their heads. I have a feeling the National Guard will be called in and martial law will be instilled, along with curfews and check points. It happens just about every time we have a hurricane minus the martial law.
