    When my forebears came from the Netherlands in the 1640s to NY, the first 3 generations had 13, 10, and 11 kids.

    They outbred the Iroquois all by themselves.

    People worked back then, too. Or they didn’t eat.

      And we took care of our own. Notice how there are no stories of people starving to death during the Depression?

    My mother came from a family of 15. They picked cotton for a living when she was growing up. White people picking cotton, whodathunkit?
