Probably not the brightest move

LifeZette has confirmed that GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump will travel to Mexico on Wednesday to meet with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto.

Sources including Mexican officials involved in the planning of the visit, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, stated the meeting would cover a broad variety of topics ranging from trade to security to immigration and the contentious issue of border enforcement.

Given the Mexican hostility towards our immigration policies, it might have been a smarter move for Trump to fly the Mexican president up here if Trump wanted to meet with him.

Yeah and then I can see the NYTimesCNNABCCBSNBCetc, headlines.

Trump facilitates illegal alien’s entry into the US!!!!

This way he brings a few $hundred thousand and gets the Mexican El Presidente For Life to endorse him.

All Trump has to do is say he is going to adopt Mexico’s immigration laws for this country.

    Let them scream about that.

And the Dems in their minds chant “C’mon Fast ‘N Furious – time for that magic to happen!” Trump is taking a chance with his safety is all I’m saying. This will be Trial by Fire negotiations preview.

Unless the law has changed, it’s illegal for the sitting President of Mexico to leave the country. When they built Amistad dam here in Del Rio back in the late 60’s they had to hold the opening ceremonies in the middle of the dam because the Mexican President wasn’t allowed to leave the country.

If your comment 'disappears', don't trip - it went to my trash folder and I will restore it when I moderate.
