Here’s something you don’t hear about every day

INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH, Fla. – A 45-year-old man was found dead in Brevard County after his motorized bicycle apparently struck a turtle during an overnight ride on a darkened street.

The deadly accident happened about 3:16 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Royal Palm Avenue and Sail Drive in Indian Harbour Beach, News 6 partner Florida Today reported.

Brevard County Fire Rescue crews and investigators were called to the beach-side town after the man’s body was found in the roadway near the motorized bike.

It happened about 3:16 AM? I can understand them saying about 3 AM or 3:15 AM but about 3:16? Why not try to pin it down to the approximate second?

    Was it Michaelangelo?

    or Leonardo?

    or maybe, Donatello?

Looks like a “shell game” to me.

Drive a car at night. Most anyone can beat a turtle at night by using a car. Most anyone.

Speaking of stupid precision, the sign giving the altitude of the peak of a mountain near where I lived in Japan gave the number in meters down to 2 decimals, i.e. ABC.DE meters. In other words, to the nearest centimeter.
The sign was embedded in an asphalt slab. I wondered if they counted the thickness of the asphalt I was standing on as I read the sign.

Not really surprising, there are a lot of homeless/nearly homeless people there. We actually stopped going to a couple of the public beach areas because there were so many of them hanging out in the pavillion by the walkway to the beach, my wife would get really creeped out. It would be several of the same guys, no matter what day of the week it was. I would not be the least bit surprised if this guy was one of them.
