A message to Trump

Drop twitter, man.
It’s for kids and it’s too easily misinterpreted. Let it go.
Just sayin’……

  1. Unclezip says:

He will. But it made a huge difference in him being able to skirt the obviously biased media and deliver his message. I’m sure when they come around, so will he.

    • Wirecutter says:

I hope so. I really do.
Social media is for fun or distraction but not for a serious leader.

      • Ogrrre says:

He reached 2.4 times as many people as the cominged viewership of NBC, CNN, and MSNBC combined. He managed to get his message out despite the attempts by the commielib media to make sure he did not. He will still need twitter to get his message out, as the Media will broadcast/print any lie, libel, or slander they can think of in order to obstruct Mr. Trump… they way they did with W. If print/broadcast media would just report news, instead of presenting their agenda and calling it news, then Trump would not need Twitter; but I don’t see that happening.

    • bogsidebunny says:

Agreed Unclezip…The big mistake former Republican candidates (Politicians following the political agenda) made was trusting the Liberal media to air the facts. That’s like having a convicted cannibal babysit for your 6 month old twins. Trump bypassed the Liberal MSM by using twitter to reach the American voters directly. Will he stop? I don’t think so. Not completely, but he may ease off after Jan.20th.

  2. Dan says:

He’s using what works…..to date Twitter has worked for him…..unlike the lame stream media whores. He’s smart enough to drop it when it ceases to work. He’s a smart man. I doubt he
needs any advice from normal people on how to troll the media and get his message out.

  3. anonymous says:

I think the misinterpretation factor works for him. Gives him plenty of wiggle room to later say what the media replied was incorrect. And the media following every tweet is ridiculous – if they had ignored them in the 1st place, pretty likely his election would have been in doubt. It kept him in ‘Breaking News’ all the time.

I do agree with Kenny’s point – a world leader tweeting is kinda lame.

  4. Tom says:

100% agree with that. Calling someone a name on a tweet in far less effective as having Secret Service bring them to your office and say it their face. It really is juvenile.

  5. bobdog says:

I’m one of Trump’s supporters, and I agree with wirecutter. It was useful during the run-up to the election, but I have to admit I appreciate him a lot more when he speaks and acts like our next president.

But to be fair, he may have to continue it for a while, as long as the media refuses to give him a fair shake.

  6. Towser says:

Did ya tweet dat? Just sayin’

I hate twitter and DT’s tweets too but there is an argument that it has worked for him.

  7. rayvet says:

I disagree. His usage of Twitter is giving Libs/dims/socialists aneurysms. I for one see this is a positive. Twitter the fuck out of the universe Trump.

  8. Keep tweeting. It’s what seems to get the attention of the younger ones. That is important. At 70 years old I don’t use it or even know how but if it gtets the conservative message out to the kids(to me) what can it hurt.

  9. Odysseus says:

All I can say is that I hope he does, but hope has had a bad track record this last year.

  10. mdfuller56 says:

I agree that it is working for him really well. The parts of it that are distasteful are the personal attacks that make him look petty. Knowing Trump from everything revealed during the campaign, this is his way of defending himself, his family and his brand his entire life – “hit me I hit you right back and it ain’t gonna be pretty”.

I know it is non-traditional and even unpresidential, but my hope is he continues to end-run the mass media into apoplectic obsolescence. It is leadership, though not the servant leadership preferred if both parties are honorable. The GOP has plenty of “gravitas” but no balls to prosecute real leadership. Trump has balls enough to kick everyone in the teeth and reset the fuck out of the way things have always been done.

    Looks like we’ll all see.

  11. Lucan says:

I like Trump, but this is too funny not to share… https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C1xItsGUsAAEYIc.jpg:large

  12. Harry says:

I’ve come to like him doing it. Every time he tweets something out the entire left squeals like a stuck pig. It’s hilarious. I’d rather he didn’t do it on the serious foreign policy stuff, but for the domestic “f you” to the progressive lunatics in this country…..let er rip, I say!

  13. cato says:

I don’t care how he communicates as long as he does what he said he would do.
I just hope he starts on the 20th of January and doesn’t stop ’til the job is done.

  14. RK Florida says:

I call BS on the serious leader crap. A serious leader is what we’ve had for years and years. I want a leader who gets shit done and doesn’t pretend to be some magic statesman.
Donald Trump’s tweets are killing the MSM. He is getting his word out immediately and directly to the people he wants. There is NO other venue for this. Every other venue filters through the Media who will corrupt even the simplest message. The liberals despise his using Twitter, which is plenty of reason to keep using it. After inauguration he will have or develop other venues for his message, but for now, this is working just fine.

  15. Critter says:

As long as he uses Twitter as a stick to poke the lib anthill and make them all run about in circles screeching and biting each other, and not for the serious work of a world leader, then I have no problem with it.

  16. kimosaabe says:

Oh Hell No! Stick with it Trump. It’s the best and quickest way to get the Splodey Heads exploding.

  17. No, screw that. This is exactly how Trump NEEDS to communicate……..in small unalterable bites that ANYONE can see first hand. This is true communication, not spin by the lame stream media. The lame stream media is absolutely apoplectic over the fact that they can’t spin his message and the fact that THEY are NOT the first in line to receive his message. Fuck the media! Those assholes are working for our owners……..let them wither and die on the vine!

  18. iggy says:

“Since the election, Trump has continued to Tweet away. He’s called for Hamilton to be boycotted and flag-burning to be criminalised, and every time the same 10-part pattern unfolds and the whole thing starts again.

Each episode followed a familiar 10-part pattern:

    1) Trump posts an inflammatory, highly opinionated tweet.

    2) The media goes nuts.

    3) Trump’s tweet then dominates the news all day.

    4) The media demands he stops tweeting because it’s ‘un-presidential.’

    5) Trump ignores them.

    6) Conventional politicians demand he stops tweeting because it’s un-presidential.’

    7) Trump ignores them too.

    8) Trump wakes up next morning to every paper and cable news show talking about his tweet.

    9) Trump chuckles to himself.

    10) Trump tweets again.

    Repeat. ”
