I can relate to that. Daughter and only child born to us parents aged me: 53 and her: 39, bought a house in a new town 2 weeks before our daughter’s birth. Had to have the house totally renovated from top to bottom so we were staying with relatives. Wife’s tits sore as hell from breast feeding. Closest we both were to meltdown. But what doesn’t kill you or make you insane makes you stronger.

Or, on the other hand, they could be junkies. It’s happened several times recently in my neck of the woods.

Been there done that. The first 90 days with a newborn child is 24/7 nonstop.

They eat, sleep, and poop. That’s it. After the 60 day mark, they get into a pattern that works, but the 3:31 am, 4:18 am, all still happens but not as regularly.

Now my son is 22, 6’3, 190 lbs of zero body fat.
Going into Law Enforcement. Starts BLET this summer. Never drank, never smoked, never had a parking ticket. Puts 60lbs of broken cinder blocks in my old ruck and hikes through the Carolina hillside.

Time flies. I miss feeling like these young parents.
    Was it hard? Yes.
    Was it worth it?

    Hell yes!

    Remember kids, ALWAYS use rubber!

They deserve it. As Hunter Thompson said, “Buy the ticket, take the ride”.
    Contraception is not expensive.
