    H. O. Studley’s tool chest. I think he was a piano maker, not sure. I think that chest is or was in the smithsonian. Thanks for posting the photo.

I think I’ve seen that pic before, or one very similar, in a Lee Valley Tools catalogue. Lock away your credit card before you click the link…

    • S.G.S.W. says:

You’re right about locking away your credit card. Lee Valley is a dangerous place for those who like quality tools.

  16. Tom W. says:

Noticed the Mason’s symbol lower inner side, photo left.

Precision by hand, mind, and soul. No C&C, no 3D renderings spitting out dimensions.

Like shipwrights of old, and other trades from back in the day.

New technology doesn’t measure up compared to what was built from this appropriate named collection.

    • Cederq says:

Tom you have good eyesight, I didn’t see it at first and I looked over the pic because it is a piece of art work, very clever having it behind the calipers where it s part of the Mason insignia.

  17. paulb says:

good looking chest. All hand tools too.

  18. Walt says:

I got wood on this pic

  19. PoppaGary says:

I wonder what that weighs? Probably need to have a couple of midget helpers to carry it around.
