Is there a species of “non-venomous” rattlesnake that I’m unaware of?

  2. RonM says:

Never challenge a rattlesnake to a tongue flickering contest! Or a slithering contest. They don’t like challenges. Especially at things they consider themselves best at. It’s a big insult. It calls into question their snakehood.

j/k… WTF was he doing sticking his tongue out near a rattlesnake’s face?

Probably a Judgement Juice influenced urge to bite said snake’s head off.

Heard a similar story from Fort Benning, GA several decades ago involving a couple of Rangers – but no Judgement Juice.

Not shocking. Most fatal rattlesnake bites are from people (mis) handling them… Pentecostals to the front of the line!

Please stop wasting antivenin on these dummies who think poisonous snakes are kissable. There is a Darwin Award for a reason.

There was another idiot who tried the same thing with a moccasin a few weeks back. Same result.. .

  15. Mals says:

Of course, this will be the fault of the snake.

My quick assessment of the strike is: only a penile or testicular strike would likely be worse. Just guessing though.
