“Here, let us help you out”

ARLINGTON, Texas — A suicidal man who had doused himself in gasoline became engulfed in flames at an Arlington home Monday after an officer used a stun gun on him, police said.

The officer who used the Taser on the man believed that the man was holding a lighter in his hand and was about to use it, police spokeswoman Sgt. VaNessa Harrison said at a news conference.

Not all of them….several went to the hospital for smoke inhalation (BTW, it’s the same kind they get every weekend grilling meat on their Weber).

This was a public service provided by the LEO. If you read the article, the guy was mentally disturbed and NOT LOCKED away in an asylum (which we don’t have any more thanks to libs/dims/socialists). Therefore, we the people are at an ever increasing risk of having to cross paths with these psychos instead of them being locked away. So this guy wanted to commit suicide. The LEO tried to help him with his one last wish which I think was nice that he tried to help grant it to him. But no, someone had to step in and save the guy. Stupid stupid stupid. Now, when he gets out of the hospital, he may hurt someone else instead of just himself. And we only have bleeding heart liberals to thank for it. Oh, and if people find this offensive because I went off on a mentally deranged man, I’ve got this violin…………….

I don’t know about Texas, but it was under Reagan’s term as governor of California that the mental hospitals and asylums there were shut down.

We can all thank the ACLU for this crap. Oregon emptied their hospitals about the same period, and dumped them all into Portland. Most are still there – at least the ones who haven’t been shot.

Might want to read this. Perception is some times wrong. The decline started under Edmund Brown Sr and continued through Reagan and into the term of Brown Jr.

Yes sir, you’re correct. It was one of the “reach across the aisle” gestures that Reagan did to appease the Dims/libs/socialists “feelings”. I read somewhere it was a mistake he soon regretted.

        • Wirecutter says:

Thank you. Everybody’s quick to point out that Pat Brown initiated it but fail to mention that Reagan could’ve killed it.
I’ve learned to not argue with people about Reagan – apparently he was a god.

  3. Howard E. Dennard says:

Don’t let the man commit suicide, kill him yourself.

That’s pretty funny. Irony plays an important part in humor and the theory of Darwin. The poor dude must have had a pretty rough life but all the combinations add up to a great laugh out loud! Good way to start the day.

+ I think that stories like this shouldn’t be allowed to run without video.

With “Yakkety Sax” (AKA “The theme from “The Benny Hill Show”) playing in the background…

  5. At least the police got the “to serve” part down correct on this one.

    Hey he needed a light.

Brings a new meaning to the term ‘assisted suicide’ …
