Baltimore removes statues overnight

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore city crews took down confederate monuments across the city overnight.

All four — the Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Monument on Mount Royal Avenue, the Confederate Women’s Monument on West University Parkway, the Roger B. Taney Monument on Mount Vernon Place and the Robert E. Lee and Thomas. J. “Stonewall” Jackson Monument in the Wyman Park Dell — have been removed.

If we remove out past, everything will be better. What the fuck is wrong with people!!!??

  2. JVossos says:

Erasing history won’t change anything. We are on the brink of a civil war and race war combined. Anyone who values individual freedom and self reliance …. who hates collectivism …. better mount up …. it’s coming …. When you try to silence people, deny their political views, deny them livelihoods or college admission because we are conservatives …. there can only be one response … that response will kill thousands …. thanks to the violent, idiot left, we are at this point.

Reminds me of the thirties soviet union, rewrite history, retouch photos, shoot the offender and send the relatives to Siberia.

  4. juju2434 says:

If they are so intent on removing EVERYTHING that pertains to the civil war and slavery, then lets start removing the blacks and send them back to where the fuck they pretend to be from. Send them back to Africa where they can proudly claim to be Africans and NOT African/Americans. Lets see if Africa will coddle these motherfuckers like they have been here. Who needs these trouble making fucks to start with?

I wonder why B’more has monuments to confederate generals ?
Maryland is about as far removed from the south as you can get…
I say let them tear it down and then shove it up their snowflake ass !!!

    • jimbobbyjoe says:

not back in the day they weren’t. The only reason Maryland did not succeed is because their tyrant governor locked up all the pro succesionist legislators and then more the vote from Baltimore to Frederick…and it still only barely passed to stay in the union.

      • wildbill says:

When the state legislature was set to vote on secession, Lincoln had Federal troops on stand by to arrest everyone who voted in favor. “Don’t mind that gun to your head, go on and vote how you want. This is a free country.”

    • I think you were thinking of Maine (grin).

Have you ever heard the song “Maryland my Maryland” ? The song calls for Maryland to fight the Union and was used across the South during the Civil War as a battle hymn. Written in 1861 it was adopted as the official state song in 1939.

Washington DC, its location was a compromise, not Richmond and not New York City. I think in retrospect they missed it by fifty miles, Delaware?

  6. Elmo says:

And in related news, Mayor Catherine E. Pugh announced these monuments of hate will be replaced by statues of Louis Farrakhan, Joanne Chesimard, King Samir Shabazz and Mumia Abu-Jamal.
These monuments are being replaced through a generous grant from the Barak Obama Foundation.

I’m with juju. This is right out of 1984. Next they’ll be demanding to airbrush out our history books.

  8. QP says:

Taking down the statues is wrong.
However, most of Baltimore is a third world shithole. With a large illiterate population, contemplating history is not a pastime for much of the city.

What war? Slavery? Never heard of it.

  12. nonncom says:

Wasn’t the war over state’s rights?….last I heard, the federalists won, and the republican president emancipated the slaves nationwide….I swear, where is the gratitude….

    • ed357 says:

Yeah…..I think it was over States rights…..

But once the North was getting their a$$e$ handed to them on the battlefield…..

Ole Abe freed the slaves to tie down Confederate forces in the South and to give the North more cannon fodder…..

BTW…..didn’t Ole Abe try to ship the emancipated slaves back to Africa…..maybe Liberia?

  14. RottyLover says:

This is heading to bloody war and martial law.

  15. Grandpa says:

The War of Northern Aggression was economic as much as anything. When the South began shipping cotton, tobacco, etc. from Southern ports instead of paying heavy taxes and such from Northern ports; “the money” up north lost their minds… if the war was so much about slavery, and freeing blacks, what was the motivation of the blacks who fought for the Confederacy? Sure, as history is rewritten; that never happened… just like it seems forgotten that it was a Republican president that freed them.
Although what really matters at this point, is who will survive to write the history that we’ll be living over the next few years… will it be the 70%+/- of the population that is white, or the about 17% that is hispanic, or the 13% that is black?
