Good, I’m tired of sweating

Cooler temperatures are predicted to span much of the eastern part of the United States throughout the month of August.
The first of several spells of below-average temperatures saw shorts exchanged for sweaters across the east of the country over the weekend, with lows of 60F in Chicago and Green Bay on Friday.
Those overnight lows are expected to persist in lands east of the Rockies for the next two weeks, with daytime highs ranging from the upper 70s to the low 80s, according to Weather.com.

Yeah, we’ve finally caught a break here in California after an extremely warm July. Kind of nice to be able to get some work done in the middle of the day for a change.

Up in the great white north, ( west ), its been the hottest in memory.
Because of the latitude, and elevation, this city averages only 6 days per year over 85.
This summer we’ve had at least 30. Then combine that with the huge forest fire smoke that weve been inundated with, and its been a fairly brutal summer. The west winds that bring the warmth, also bring the smoke from the fires up in the mountains. For two weeks my voice sounded like id been out smoking a couple packs of smokes and boozing all night!
(Without the actual fun debauchery of having been out smoking and drinking all night!)

I am so jealous! As The L.A. area is just plain miserable right now with no sign of relief until Oct at least.

Bought my first window AC unit in over 30 years in June. Jump for Joy with 70° and light showers in the WNC mountains any day. Now if Joy wasn’t quite so quick we’d get somethin’ done … :)

My tomato plants are full of tomatoes – so its about time for a frost.
