Even at 50 cents a can I still wouldn’t drink that swill. But I would foist it onto my freeloading neighbors.

With the amount I drink that could represent some real savings every year.

PBR used to be the beer of choice in my neck of the woods way back when.

Dad drank Black Label so you now know what I was weened on. That beer would put hair on your chest!

Have happily imbibed in PBR since 1973 when A/B was banned at our shop for their politics. That it grosses out some beer snots even makes me like it better…. Yes, bean beer is mostly Bueno.

We mostly drank Bud and Michelob in the old days. We weren’t sophisticated but we could tell LA Bud was superior to St. Louis Bud.
Saved the pop tops, made chains out of them. You could fling the pull tabs like a tiny Frisbee.
Quit drinking Bud when the LA brewery went on strike, tried Strohs, Oly, Falstaff, even Brew 102, Colt 45 and Mickeys… (Drank some Mikes Hard Lemonade a couple times, and half of a Zima once .) Eventually settled on Miller High Life as my general-purpose beer while continuing to sample other more exotic brands for special occasions.
Since then I’ve tried hundreds of beers- domestic and imported, premium and generic. Ales, stouts, porters, pilsners, lagers, bocks, IPAs, wheat beers, microbrews, home brews, malt liquors, good and bad beers, warm and cold.
I am quite partial to Bohemia, especially with Mexican food.
And I don’t mind an ice-cold Coors every once in a while.

But I will not drink Corona- “La cerveza mas Ptui.”
