Richard Daniel Losey, 20, will also serve three years of informal probation as a result of the misdemeanor battery conviction, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.

“Decades of research has shown immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than the general American population.”
Really? When every one of them that is not here legally is a criminal?

Actually decades of research have shown that immigrants from european and asian countries are less likely to commit crimes. The same study found that immigrants from south america, africa, and muslim nations are way more likely to commit violent crimes.

Would be nice to see his recent bank account activity.

Bus ticket back to OH-IO? George must not be paying well.

Those were my thoughts. He must have a lot of time & money on his hands, if he can travel from Ohio to CA just to attend a demonstration; that, or somebody paid his way. Curious, isn’t it, that the reporter didn’t go into how he got there, considering that journalists are exemplars of objectivity?

“informal probation” so he got away with it. I wonder if he would get informal probation if he was not on the left? I was going to say if he was on the right but to the left everyone who is not with them 100% (or 90% plus a donation to the course) is a NAZI.

What are the odds he will get punched in the face by a “Brotha? in jail ?

  5. Good. I used to have a cab company there.

What the hell is “informal probation”? When I worked for P&P, I was assigned to review thousands of offender case files. Never heard of any such thing, either someone is on probation or they’re not. In this case, apparently not.

    • Wirecutter says:

Informal probation is when the judge puts you on probation without having to report but you don’t want to fuck up because the judge will hit you with priors.
