Danish army to take over some police duties

Starting Friday, armed soldiers from the Danish Armed Forces (Forsvaret) will replace police officers at both Denmark’s southern border to Germany and at potential terror targets in Copenhagen.
According to the Danish National Police (Rigspolitiet) and Copenhagen Police, 160 soldiers will patrol the border and take over guard duties at Jewish institutions including the Great Synagogue in central Copenhagen.

Having troops do protection is only effective if the Rules of Engagement are “YES” and “UNTIL BODY IS A GREASESPOT.” Otherwise, they will be as effective as the compound guards at the Marine Barracks in Lebanon in 1983. (Not allowed to carry loaded and charged ammo, required to get approval from State Department to engage target (as it is coming towards you) and so forth.)

I hear Danish soldiers have a generous monthly hash allotment.
