Time to clean house

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A 22-year employee with Hamilton County’s Clerk of Courts office was arrested for allegedly warning suspects of search warrants targeting them. Yakyma Boyd, 45, faces two counts of tampering with records.

This happens a lot more than you think. Back in the 80s and 90s, I knew of 3 different drug connections that had their connections in the police department and Sheriff’s Office, as well as the courthouse. They were warned when surveillance or raids were scheduled, sometimes days before.

The drug unit of the PD I worked for had to set up its own records unit, its own cases and used commercial encrypted radios, rather than the ones that the PD provided.

Seems the Comm Center and Records for the department were rife with people working for the bad guys. But because of ‘diversity’ nothing could be done about it.

Same with the ‘Human Resources’ department for the city that controlled hiring for the PD. Totally blown up in ties to drug dealers and other local riff-raff.

Nothing like having the city cleaning crew show up at the PD with a bunch of convicted felons on probation who are repeat offenders. Or the outside vendors who were suspiciously of the same last names as the bad employees.

Guess the race. Dare you. Double Dog Dare You.

Hint – no ex-German religious zeolots. Nope. Not even evangelical Lutherans.

Oh, for the good old days when all you had to do was slip the beat cop a coupla’ bottles of whiskey and a carton of Marlboro’s for the same information. That was a lot cheaper than bribing an alderman or city council member, though…

Early 90s, mid-size town in the South. SWAT medic, our initial protocol was to notify 911 Comms of our target to reduce potential response time if needed. All of a sudden, we were coming up empty……. we unilaterally stopped notifications, viola!! Successful raids again……..have no clue who but definitely coming out of Comms
