Now shut the fuck up and get back to work

The House of Representatives overwhelmingly rejected an attempt to impeach President Trump after a liberal Texas congressman forced a vote on his effort.

Democratic Rep. Al Green, who has repeatedly called for the president’s removal, introduced two articles of impeachment against Trump on Wednesday.

But lawmakers immediately voted to effectively kill his resolution, with 364 voting to table it and 58 Democrats voting to move ahead.

Today, I rise to use the constitutionally prescribed political process of impeachment to speak truth to the most powerful man on earth, the president of the United States of America,” Green said in a speech on the House floor.

No, you rise to show your ass.

Accusing Trump of betraying “his trust as president” by embracing racism, Green referenced Adolf Hitler and made the point that Trump can still be removed from office even if he didn’t commit a crime.

“The public has been led to believe that a president must commit a crime to be impeached, which is not true,” Green said. “If any president persisted with the lie that ‘Hitler was right,’ he would be, and should be, impeached not for a crime, but for betraying his trust as president.”

Show me in the Constitution where it says this.

Godwin’s Law. You invoked Hitler. You lose. Shaddap and siddown.

Green’s resolution covered four articles of impeachment.

One accused the president of “inciting white supremacy, sexism, bigotry, hatred, xenophobia, race-baiting, and racism by demeaning, defaming, disrespecting and disparaging women and certain minorities.” Another alleged Trump brought “shame and dishonor to the office of the presidency by associating the majesty and dignity of the presidency with causes rooted in white supremacy, bigotry, racism, anti-Semitism, white nationalism and neo-Nazism.”

Specifics? Date, Time, Offense? You got to have something besides “The President is a poo-poo head member of the other party.”

Count two of violation Godwin’s Law. Shaddap and siddown. And leave that fucking Night Train alone.

Another still condemned Trump for saying “three to five million people voted illegally in the 2016 presidential election.”

Probably did, and Hillary STILL lost. You ought to be grateful for this; it’s probably the reason you won your last election. I submit Trump’s information on this matter is probably better than yours.

The fourth article accused the president of “encouraging law enforcement officials to violate the Constitutional rights of the suspects in their case.”

    Again: Specifics.

Is there some kind of unofficial contest going on to see who can be the biggest Dem horse’s ass in Congress? I’m embarrassed for the people of Texas, and not just this jackwagon’s district. Texicans is good people and deserve better representation than this. I’m just as embarrassed that Tennessee’s Steve Cohen voted for it, but nowhere near surprised. Maybe he should just stick to humping his “secret daughter”:

Steve Cohen’s Wikipedia entry is a fawning hagiography (that’s the polite way of saying “whoever wrote that gave him a fucking tongue bath, with a side of extra tossed salad”) of his wonderful progressive political views and achievements. And not a mention of the Victoria Brink weirdness.

Alan Green is a 1) Black, 2) Liberal 3) Democrat. All 3 of those traits make him eminently qualified to join the hate America ignorant asshole society.

  3. Bacon says:

While I’m eager for those pesky congress-critters to “shut the fuck up”, I’m not so eager for them to “get back to work”. Any time they do the stupid, mostly illegal nonsense they mistakenly call “work”, they inevitably, invariably screw things up for you and for me.

Far better if they all just go home.

I watched this ass hat on CSPAN and he was citing examples from the 1800’s when Presidents were brought up on impeachment charges for merely speaking badly of Congressmen and Senators. He fails to realize times have changed and we no longer (sadly in many ways) hold ANYONE accountable for what they say or do. This is also good for people like him, because if we still ran snake oil salesman and other schysters out of town, tar and feathered them or had duels to settles disagreements and insults, we wouldn’t be having to put up with this stuff.

It certainly isn’t the 1800’s or this asshat would be out chopping cotton.
