Bundy and Waco similarities

Twenty-five years ago this year, federal agents stormed the compound of a religious group in Waco, Texas, with armored vehicles, machine guns and tear gas. Claiming the Branch Davidians were a dangerous religious cult, they killed David Koresh, the group’s leader, along with and some 70 men, women and children who were with him when the assault took place.

The ostensible reason for reducing the compound to rubble was to serve a search warrant on Mr. Koresh for illegal weapons officials believed he possessed. The issuing judge was told Mr. Koresh was a crazed paranoid who never left the compound where he and his violence-prone followers were illegally hoarding automatic weapons and represented a clear and present danger to the Waco community.

…and then everyone wonders why Tim McVeigh bombed the Murrah building in OK City.

Hopefully, the judge see’s the light and renders the “with prejudice” opinion. I’m not holding my breath though based on what has been revealed about Waco and Ruby Ridge and the criminal actions of the FBI and BATFE that continue to go unpunished and the more recent revelations about the FBI/DOJ actions during last years election cycle.

I was part of the protesters at Waco 25 years ago. We were stopped at gunpoint at a roadblock and told to go away, it would be over shortly. I can testify that the choppers shot at the compound and kept the people inside. I bought many items from the Davidians at gun shows in Texas and Oklahoma. They were honest hard working folks. I will always let people know that they were murdered by a dishonest and lying government.

Waco was my lying government/lying media wake-up call.

And Unclezip, the FBI had an agent that went target shooting with Koresh and KNEW his AR-15 wasn’t full auto; it had what is best described as a bump-trigger.

And, oddly, ABC is pushing a somewhat different view of the Waco. They are trying to whitewash the actions of the ATF and, apparently are willing to use lies to do so.

The idiot drunk judge was never told that the tax-feeders had ample opportunity to arrest the guy – hell, they even sat in the same restaurant when he went for breakfast.

Here’s hoping Janet Reno is nice and crispy.

The Bundy outcome is is looking much better than the Branch Davidian massacre. I’m still hopeful that LaVoy Fincum’s killers will meet with justice.

The difference is today we have the intranet, they cannot control the flow of information like they used to. But there is still the fake news, hopefully it is in it’s dieing throughs.

And Waco still persists in this type of lawlessness – the biker massacre in Waco recently shows they have not learned from their blundering
