    Not bustin’ your chops.
Just not a fan of Neil. Or child molesters, since you mention it. But he did sell a lot of records.

  5. orlin sellers says:

Be honest, tell us that didn’t wanna make you ‘bust a move’ and ‘cut a rug’.

  10. taminator013 says:

Yeah, Neil Young is a pretty big asshole, but he sure did some great tunes. I still have a bunch of vinyl like “After The Gold Rush” that I bought when it was first released. Buffalo Springfield, CSNY, his solo stuff. That’s some of the greatest classic rock of all time……………….

  11. Ace Frehley says:

Kenny, I appreciated the Neil Young thing. The only thing that was missing was Cortez the Killer.

  12. HiLuisHo! says:

A fan of Neil Young?? Soooo Sad. Is that BC (before Cali) or ATN (after Tenn.)???
I bet wifey be playing the songs all day and now you sing along to them!
Next it’ll be doing the Tennessee Moon Walk…… …….

    • Wirecutter says:

I’ve been listening to Neil Young my entire life. And no, Lisa doesn’t like him. Matter of fact she doesn’t care much for any of my music. She calls them “all those dead fuckers”.

      • HiLuisHo! says:

“all those dead fuckers”…Funny when the pics come up of my favorite rockers or groups…and damn!,.. ones still living all wrinkled up and gray and I think..I ain’t THAT old.!

      • Inbred Redneck says:

Don’t tell me she don’t at least tap her foot to “Flat Natural Born Good Timin’ Man” by Gary Stewart?

      • NewVegasBadger says:

I’ll take any of “those dead fuckers” over any current so called recording artists today. Todays music pretty much sounds the same, a wall of sound, boring lyrics, simplistic, zero creativity, and not the slightest clue as to what melody, or harmony is. Loony Tunes gave me a love for classical music. I grew listing to the top 40 hits during the 60’s and 70’s. Even though I hated the country music I was forced to listen to when dad the car radio on, I realized later he did me a favor by doing so. Thanks Dad.
There is not a single song writer who is the equal to Jim Croce (Lover’s Cross), Paul Simon, or Al Steward (Time passage, Road to Moscow).
Gerry Rafferty (Baker Street, Right down the Line). The Moody Blues use an orchestra in some their hits. Meatloaf incorporated a guy doing a baseball narration as part of “Paradise by the Dashboard Light”. Barry Manilow used Chopin (Could it be Magic). Neil Diamond and Carol King both wrote hit songs for the Monkees’ . Pleasant Valley Sunday is still relevant today as when first released, So is Steppenwolf’s “Monster”.
I don’t know of any female singer that can do what Pasty Cline did, record a signature song, in just one take (Crazy).

Now, there are plenty of “those dead fuckers” that I owe a humble apology to, if it were possible (Buck Owens, Roy Clark, Dean Martin). I am confident that they will forgive me, since at the time, I did not know any better. Pass the humble pie, I’m eating the whole thing. I grew up in time a time when there too many great artists and one could take for granted other artists and styles. I thank God for growing up with the classic rock & roll and classic country songs. I’m not a Neil Young fan, but, Buffalo Springfield and CSN&Y would not have been same without his contribution. So credit where credit is due.

  13. Not clicking on that, nope…

  14. James says:

Michel Jackson,hmmm…..,how about a little beiber next?

  15. Sigproshooter says:

Late to the party here, although Neil and a huge number of my favorite music makers are communist dickheads, Live rust is by far my favorite of his offerings. Cortez the killer is worth the price of admission alone. I dig his handicapped kid/railroad purchase thing. That is cool if a true story. Either way, I’m with you on Neil here Kenny.

    • Wirecutter says:

I started really listening to him when he came out with Rust Never Sleeps. Great album.
Shit, if everybody else quit listening to musicians or watching Hollywood stars because of their politics, all they’d end up doing is sitting around reading Breitbart.

      • John Deaux says:

My way around that is to never buy or pay to see the communist assholes.
I’m ok with seeing or listening, well there’s some I refuse to give my time to, I just make sure they don’t make any money off of me.
        Fuck em

  16. bottlestop says:

Been listening to podcasts on https://cocaineandrhinestones.com/, interesting connection between Neil and Rusty Kershaw.

  17. Spiro says:

I would rather listen to Justin Bieber.

  18. Tsquared says:

Embrace Southern rock and Roll. You are in Tennessee now. Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, Molly Hatchet, Outlaws, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Wet Willie, and Elvin Bishop are Southern Rock.

If you delve further you will find Eli.

  19. AlphaDelta says:

LMAO! Fuck ’em all, Kenny. Neil’s the shit. He called ’em all out in 1988.
