    Karma is a bitch. Deal.

I once had a woman friend talk me into being a blind date for a woman friend of hers. I was to be the other woman’s escort to some kind of fancy dinner. I only agreed to the deal because I was to have gotten a free meal out of the deal. However, we couldn’t find the hall where the dinner was supposed to take place, so we ended up all just going to a restaurant. Needless to say, the “blind date” I was supposed to be with totally ignored me. I tried to make some friendly small talk with her at the restaurant, but she continually ignored me and only spoke with the other folks she knew from our group. OK, cool. The waitress finally brought us our checks when the meal was finished, and fortunately (for me, but not for the blind date), we all had separate checks. I picked up the stack of checks that had all been set in front of me, and started to dole them out to the proper recipients. When I finally placed the blind date’s check in front of her while saying (with great fanfare, I might add), “And this one is YOURS!” the blind date finally noticed me! She said something to me along the lines of, “Aren’t you going to pay for my meal!?” I said, “Lady, I only pay for meals for people I know, and since you’ve been acting like I don’t even exist all evening, I sure as heck don’t know you. Hence, I am NOT paying for your meal!”

She was furious, but I added, “If you don’t have the money to pay for your meal, I’m sure the restaurant will let you wash their dishes!”

She apparently didn’t know about karma, but she sure found out!

    Gender equality

So how is this “I can do any thing a man can do” working out? Would how long it will take for these feminists to realize, if they ever do, that there was a reason for the traditional gender roles. Chances are the (nice) guy who is her “friend” would have (past tense) been a good, stable husband to her, and a father to their children.

“What part of gender equality and women’s rights do you not understand?”

    • NewVegasBadger says:

Noncom, if your comment was directed at me, then, do understand that gender equality is a fiction. The genders, of which there are two and ONLY two, are NOT equal. We are hardwired from conception to be different, both physiologically and psychologically. As any parent with children will tell you, there is a difference between little boys and little girls. If you are true believer in gender equality, then you should be an advocate for requiring the NFL teams be make up of half women. Gender Equality baby,
Now, since I used the word different and by extension/implied, unequal, it does NOT mean I am saying one gender is better than or superior to the other gender. I am stating the obvious men and women ARE different, and we view and respond to reality from a different perspective. Further more, this attempt to make every thing “gender neutral” for the sake of making every thing gender neutral is clearly NOT working and making things worse. What is the point of gender neutral?
Name for me one legal right a man has that a woman does not? Women in our culture have more rights and privileges than what a man does. More rights and benefits. See a guy named Terrence Popp on You tube. Be advised, he will say things backed up documentation that you may not like.
Sweden is the most gender equal on the planet, and is governed about entirely by women. Now take a look at what is going on internally and the demographics of the native Swedes. Sweden is committing cultural and demographic suicide. If current trends continue native Swedes WILL BE a minority in their own country in the near future. And, when certain occupations that were once denied to women are required to allow them in, in almost all cases the standards were lowered (e.g. combat units, firefighters). A 19 year old female does NOT have to meet the same standards to pass physical fitness test as a 19 year old male. I have yet to see the reverse where a traditionally female occupation, the standards were lowered to allow men to enter it. We are at a place when if men and women have different interest and priorities, (thus the genders are not equal) you can lose your job, for expressing a politically incorrect view.
Now before the usual ad hominem attacks and the name calling starts, since I use Badger as part of my nom de guerre, I don’t care if I am politically incorrect or offensive. Went through basic training old school, verbally abused by experts.

If your comment 'disappears', don't trip - it went to my trash folder and I will restore it when I moderate.
