Damn, I love Tennessee

A proposal to ban bump stocks in Tennessee failed in both the state House and Senate on Tuesday.

The devices modify semi-automatic weapons so they can mimic the rate of fire of fully automatic guns and were used in the deadliest mass shooting in modern history, according to authorities.

  1. You mean the goob actors in Vegas had bump stocks? I don’t know why, after all they’re provided the best and most extensive line of full autos the taxpayer can buy.

Don’t get all kissy-faced just yet; the same Legislature also:

Getting damn sick of “Republicans” killing good gun legislation.

I thought Trump banned them nation-wide? That means states can’t ignore Federal laws. I guess I’ll have to consult California Governor Brown for a ruling on that.

Sorry, i’ve shot “bump-stocks” alot. No way some fat old man bumped out ,1100 rnds. in ten minutes.(as per the FBI report). Didn’t happen. no fucking way! You can’t shoot one from a bi-pod. Nor on a downward angle with a hundred rnd. mag in it.(to much weight to bump).
They also said he shot holes in an av. gas tank at 650 yrds.. Not with a 5.56 he didn’t. Impossible. (tank is minimum 1/4″ plate steel.)
200 rnds. through the door?(hit security guard), and no one else hit? those rooms have nothing but sheetrock and thin metal studs seperating them. 5.56 would have been bouncing all over the inside of that floor.
Glad Tennessee figured out its all bullshit. Now, if Trump would just get a glue!

I’m a little surprised, considering who we have in the legislature. I love my home state, I like a lot of my fellow Tennesseans, but we have some rare fuckheads “representing” us. Pleased, but surprised.
I’ve got no desire to own a bump stock, but I have less desire to see the government get one erg more power.
