Farm raided by ICE without a warrant

Rome, N.Y. — John Collins was standing outside the milk house at his dairy farm this morning when he heard yelling coming from inside. He ran in, he says, and saw his worker, Marcial de Leon Aguilar, pinned up against the window by armed men.

The men did not identify themselves and were screaming at Aguilar, Collins said.

“I run and say, ‘What the hell is going on in here?'” Collins said.

Then the men told Collins they were officers with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He asked them for a warrant or some paperwork to explain what they were doing. They had none, he said, so he ordered them to get off his property and leave Aguilar alone.

Do what you have to do, but do it right.
Yes, I agree with ICE raids, but not without a warrant as the law calls for. If you want to come down on me over this, remember they are not perfect – remember the Constitution Free zones in the US anywhere within 100 miles of a border or coast line?

Ken, I, for one won’t come down on you for this – especially here. According to the article the immigrant was LEGALLY there. There was no warrant because there was no basis for one, pure and simple according to the facts I’ve seen thus far. But what if ILLEGAL aliens were involved? We either have a constitution or we don’t. From what I’ve seen the entire nation has become a “constitution-free zone”.

Yep, give them an inch and they take a mile. Though I do draw a line if VIOLENT or CHILD ABUSE charges are suspected of that individual. In those cases, I will reluctantly let it slide a bit. The illegal becoming more illegaller . . .

You are correct they should have obtained a warrant however I believe we have taken a turn to the dark side with the raiding of Trump’s lawyers office. The last years activities by the fed have been disturbing and more openly defiant of laws supposedly keeping them in check. Beware they have become much more emboldened the trampling of rights is now routine! They came for the dead beat dads then they came for the guns then it will be open season on anybody….

There is so much wrong in this. Yes, ICE majorly screwed up by not having a warrant. And they did trespass and damage Collin’s property. As for Collins, he was harboring an illegal and her four spawn. And Collins was wrong when he said they arrested the guy for ‘the color of his skin’.

Of course, that is all alleged as it is based on the accuracy of a news article.

I drive right through there. You would shit if you understood the illegal immigrant problem in new york. They ship them into little towns by busloads, where they displace local labor, and drive a crime epidemic. And mayor minor of syracuse declared it a sanctuary city, and utica is also, adding substantially to our taxes and unemployment problems. In fact, there was just a drone training facility built to train 1000 muslims(wtf?) To fly predator drones. They practice over my neighborhood on occasion. They need more ice action just like this, if not more than more.

  6. I agree with you about warrants, when practical or possible. When private property is involved a search warrant for the specific address must be in hand. I can also understand the need for ‘sweeps’ to locate and identify ‘illegals’ who are without valid or have forged identification.

But in this case, even if they were sure that they had the location of an illegal, then the ICE agents should have brought a warrant for the address. What ‘documents’ the farmer had in regard to his employee wasn’t made clear. These ‘documents’ could have been forged and the taxes paid using a counterfeit SSN. That happens a lot.

Heard of a case where an illegal was carrying around a letter from a immigration lawyer, on his letterhead, that merely stated that the man was fleeing violence in his own country and that he had ‘good reason’ to be in the United States. The illegal thought that enough to make him undeportable.
    If wishes were horses.

My concern in this case (realizing that there must be a lot more to it) is that the rights of the American Citizen and property owner were ignored. That type of abuse needs to be cleaned up.

Some one of those government genius fucktards should look up how that sort of thing worked out for the BATFE at Waco, and mebbe reconsider their approach.

It’s a good way to come up six or eight guys short at the next roll call, and what’s more, they’ll have it coming to them and deserve every bit of it.

Constitution? We don’t need no stinkin’ Constitution. We got badges.

  9. Sanders says:

They added in international ports of entry as well, which means any airport that takes international flights.

  10. MadMarlin says:

Well, if the guy was here illegally, I say we find out who is buying this farmers milk and boycott the company supporting illegal immigration and breaking the law. Bwahahaha

This has been fairly big news here.

Additional articles state that ICE says that the arrested man has warrants for violent offenses. But something’s not making much sense. Yes, the man’s wife/children entered the USA illegally, BUT, she’s been working with the .GOV to fix that, she’s wearing a monitoring anklet, and both husband and wife have been meeting regularly with the local ICE authorities. So why is ICE suddenly coming out to his place of employment/home to violently arrest him without a warrant when all they had to do was wait for him to show up for the next meeting? So regardless of anything else something’s not quite making sense. We’ll see how it works out I guess.

Leep had a great comment on the story website, about how they do NOT need a specific warrant, but a general one. They can pursue criminals wherever criminals are. This loser was deported 3 times already and is a convicted LAW BREAKER.
