I’ve always wondered how many “single” car crash fatalities were actually suicides……

    • Andrew says:

According to the NTSB, quite a few. To the point that insurance companies look real hard at paying out on single car accidents.

Losing a child is really hard….unbelievably hard.

Indeed. It’s a life changing experience, one you never really get over. There’s not a day goes by without a thought or a random memory bringing you to a halt.

You mean no one stepped forward to say I will be picking you up at your home and will be doing all the driving.

    • Andrew says:

Yes. There’s a reason that responsible funeral homes do curb-side pickup from start to finish. Yes, it runs the cost up, but people do stupid things when overcome by grief.

And it’s another reason to have a wake or a viewing or just people coming over to morbidly hang around. It keeps a lot of people from self-slabbing.

Just look at the number of incidents of suicide by old men who have no support structure once their wife dies and they are alone in the world.
