Teacher fired for calling a spade a spade

A social media outburst has reared its ugly head again, this time in a Facebook thread centered around Nike’s new Colin Kaepernick-narrated commercial titled, “Dream Crazy.”

Several graduates of Slidell High School in Slidell, La. were discussing the ad, according to the Advocate, when a teacher at the high school chimed in with a comment on the original post.

“They don’t have to live in that country,” Valerie Scogin’s comment started, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. “They could go back, but it was their own people selling them into slavery to begin with and tearing (sic) them even worse in those countries of origin.”

Worse. Fired for expressing an opinion. Pretty sure there’s supposed to be some protections for that, but even if not, says a lot about who did the firing. But we all know that school administrations are the bastion of political correctness.

The moral?…..don’t ever, ever tell the truth when you are employed within the leftist school system anywhere in this country….there is no room for anything beyond left wing ideology and socialism….God forbid the truth about past events should ever be revealed….

In a time of universal deceit, telling the Truth IS a revolutionary act (and will not be tolerated). Orwell was right.

History has been re-written by progressive/socialists, what was once truth, is no longer.
The real, “old” truth will get you labeled and fired.

She committed the unforgivable sin of telling the truth.

What about freedom of speech? Getting offended by the truth is bullshit and it’s high time more people expressed their real thoughts instead of “going along to get along”.
