My mom was a secretary for Brodie Wilkinson (III’s grandfather) at Wilkinson Dairy & Feed down in G-ville in the ’70s. She called & told me today that Brodie I died the same day, earlier in the day. He had dementia & had been failing for some time. At least he didn’t hear the news of his grandson’s death.
No idea how true the following is, but the story is that they had had trouble with trespassers for some time, Brodie III went to run some off, & they shot him.
