Gotta hand it to him for his ingenuity

PORTLAND, Ore. — A former southern Oregon property owner has been charged with assault on a federal officer after, authorities say, an FBI agent sent to the property was shot from a booby-trapped wheelchair.

Law enforcement officers responded to the home in the small town of Williams on Sept. 7 at the request of a real estate lawyer tasked with selling the property, The Oregonian/OregonLive reported Monday.

So why is the FBI involved in what seems to be a strictly state matter?

Why is the FBI involved in anything? Probably a set up so they could look good. It is the same as the cops and firemen evacuating a couple of blocks because someone has a pound of powder for reloading because it might explode. Just a crock of BS to make them look brave and are looking out for the public.

  2. SAM says:

“An X-ray found a .410-gauge shotgun pellet in the agent’s leg, documents said” so from one pellet CBS know what kind of ammo was used.

a good editor would have smaked the reporter for not fleshing out the back story and giving it some context.

The New World. There was warning of booby-traps so the local LEOs sent the FBI through the door first. Great plan!!!
