Yet Keith Richards lives on…

A long-time Campbell Soup employee who created a beloved Thanksgiving staple – the green bean casserole – enjoyed by millions of Americans each year has died at age 92.

Dorcas Reilly succumbed to Alzheimer’s disease on October 15, said Ken Tomlinson of the Hinski-Tomlinson Funeral Home in her hometown of Haddonfield, New Jersey.

Campbell Soup officials said the New Jersey resident was the driving force behind the popular dish, made with green beans and cream of mushroom soup topped with crispy fried onions.

There is a wealth of material dealing with the medicinal/health preserving factors of Heroin usage.
Of course they are buried beneath the larger wealth of recorded OD’s..
“They” say that Jerry Garcia was doing just fine – until he kicked Heroin…

Sorry to read she passed away. But I still think that dish tastes nasty. I like all the ingredients but not stirred together.

And while I’m on the subject of nasty Thanksgiving dishes, Who was the individual who dreamed up candied sweet potatoes? Why for the love of God would you ruin sweet potatoes with marshmallows and insane amounts of brown sugar? Bake them with their skins on, serve with a pat of butter and a pinch of salt. Delicious!

Yeah, I don’t care for that mess either. Candied yams either. Come to think of it, I do’t like sweet potatoes at all, but it’s been years since I tried them.
Who knows, maybe I’ll like them now – when I was a kid squash made me gag, but I love it now, especially grilled or fried.

Judy, I was the same about that dish since I was a kid. Thanksgiving and x-mas meals and now in my fifties I decided to try something different with the recipe, I still use the mushroom but now use a can of cream of chicken soup with herbs it taste a lot better do not use all of the mushroom soup only half or none at all, but the chicken makes it better. I agree with your and WC on the sweet potatoes to sweet makes it just yuck.

Sometimes I worry about the kind of world we’re leaving for Keith Richards.

I guess that dish must be good for you if it gets you to 92
