This must be before they became Jefferson Starship?

    • Wirecutter says:

Yes, dear. Grace Slick was singing with them then. Looong before your time.

        But not before mine.

I remember Jefferson Starship of the very early 80’s, probably about the time they became just Starship.

According to his Wikipedia page Marty Balin died this past September.

When I was doing mornings at WPFM Paul Kantner called me up from the Panama City airport to request some Steely Dan for his GF. Seems their plane landed there to refuel on way to a concert in Miami and got fogged in. He asked me if I thought the band was “too commercial”? I laughed my ass off and said “if it’s not commercial, then who’s paying the bills”???? Talked to him for about a half-hour.

Play nice.
