Handcuffed for Homeschooling? Paperwork Dispute Gets Ugly

A school system in Massachusetts is proving to be malicious, incompetent, or maybe both.

Of course, we suspected that already. But the latest example comes from a lawsuit from a woman who pulled her 8-year-old son from Worcester Public Schools to homeschool him last January.

What do you expect? It’s Mass-A-Useless, the East coast’s version of Cal-I-Fuck-ia

It appears that homeschooling is a big threat to the education industry in Massachusetts, enough of a threat that they get the justice industry involved!

Goodall was arrested and brought to the police station and was booked, though no charges were filed.

this sentence makes no sense to me.

In Maine if a student is not active and there is no contact from the parents; the school has to use every contact method available first, starting with certified mail. If nothing works, then the school contacts LE to conduct a welfare check. 9 times out of 10, if the kid is truant, there’s a history of it. Couple that with all too many parents who don’t give a crap say they are homeschooling to avoid legal issues. These are the ones that give legit homeschoolers a bad name.

But make no mistake all public schools try to stop homeschooling, to a degree. Like everything else it’s all about money. The more kids a school has the more money from the state and feds.
A good homeschool group could decimate a smaller school. What I find most ironic is that schools systems are almost totally to blame for the growing homeschool movement. In situations like the above, parents will either see what has happened and start looking for alternative schools, join the homeschool group, or either move to a different district. And at no point will the disctrict ever look in the mirror to figure out why students are leaving.

“And at no point will the district ever look in the mirror to figure out why students are leaving.”

And that is pretty much the whole story right there.
My state ranks 49th in academic scores, and 2nd in per student spending.
The state Democrats and the teacher’s unions absolutely refuse to talk about WHY they are churning out an endless stream of functional illiterates, but just scream non stop for “more money!! more money!!”

I really hate Democrats and unions. Fuck them all…..

What struck me as one of the bigger absurdities in this report was that the police searched her house. LOOKING FOR WHAT AND ON WHAT LEGAL GROUNDS?

The police were there to enforce a truancy law and the story makes no mention of a search warrant. Unless one existed, there was no impetus for a search, so her Fourth Amendment rights were violated. In other words, the heavy hand was even heavier than initially reported.

Home schooling exposes the American Education System for the communist, evil, brain killing, shit hole that it is. They can’t tolerate that, nor will they tolerate kids that know their ass from a hole in the ground. Fucking Liberals are a disease.
