The Court-Packing Threat to the Second Amendment

Washington, D.C. – -( You might think that with the confirmation of two pro-Second Amendment justices under President Donald Trump, that the Second Amendment is reasonably safe. Well, think again. Those who would seek to take our rights away are not going to just give up. In fact, they have a new plan to deal with a pro-Second Amendment majority on the Supreme Court.

Their plans are very simple: To pack the court – adding at least two, if not more, seats to that body. One progressive group is calling for the addition of four seats, given the uncertain health status of Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg creates a new opening on the high court. Who fills those seats?

The main act now is to have constant manufactured crisis to blame on POTUS so he can never name another justice. It is fight to the death for the other side. Speaking of death, has anybody seen RBG lately? She was claimed to be at the back of a darkened concert hall last week, but no cameras were allowed; funny how the press never got a picture of her getting helped out of her limo out on the curb.

If Gorsuch and Kav go the way of Roberts then it is game over. I sure hope Thomas has round the clock security details so he does not wind up like Scalia (who was cremated within 24 hours without permission from his family and no autopsy was done). Yuppers, the guy had a little bad luck with a pillow on a his hunting trip down near the border.

The good guys need at least 2 more originalist justices if we ever hope to survive as a country; you can bet your ass the other side understands that too.

    • Richard Watson says:

Members of Congress must be present on the floor to cast a vote. Apparently RBG is able to cast her vote from her bed without being present for oral arguments.

  2. Dav says:

Trump should threaten to do it himself. Once they have exhausted themselves with apoplexy and declare it’s not allowed we can then use that as a basis to stop them when they hold power.

  3. Wouldn’t it be hilarious if Leftists in Congress tried to pass a law changing the number of seats on the Supreme Court, only for the SC to strike it down as unconstitutional?

It’d never happen, but wouldn’t it be funny?

    • Butch says:

Scotus rules has a numerical spread that is possible. If you need to know the spread, look it up yourself. But the numbers are set to allow the Court to be as few as one number and as many as another. So if the commies wanted to load the court up with more justices, they can, Constitutionally.

Besides, I am not going to comply to any laws they make or any commie congress. fuckem

  4. Andrew says:

    FDR tried this…

    • joe tentpeg says:

And the Supremes blinked…on the New Deal.

Precedent therein for Trump to direct engineer battalions to the border…regardless of ‘court order challenge.’

How many battalions do the Supremes direct?

Kinda in line with Stalin’s tactic: “How many divisions does the Pope have?”

  5. Bill says:

RBG is AWOL or MIA. Replace her!

Play nice.
