Ooooh, the evil ‘Ghost Gun’…

Investigators in New Jersey looking into a cocaine trafficking operation say they inadvertently uncovered something much more deadly: a “ghost guns” dealership.

What is a “ghost gun”?

New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal says they are assault rifles that are a legal enigma, built from kits bought online, sold to people without background checks and undetectable to law enforcement.

“Ghost guns are not registered and do not have serial numbers, making them difficult to trace and making it harder for law enforcement to solve gun crimes,” said a release from Grewal.

Holy hell, $1100-$1300 per gun??? Lets see, about 300-500 bucks for a rifle kit, another 35-50 for an 80% lower and then maybe 50 bucks to rent the machinery to mill it out if you don’t own your own milling machine.
Man, if you’re going to break the law, be smart about it and save some money – have an out-of-state friend order all that shit and have them ship it to you.
But then again, maybe they were ordering from III Arms – Sammy was selling AR kits minus the lowers for 900 bucks. That would explain the outrageous price, but at least it would have a fancy III scratched onto it somewhere to justify the high mark-up.
