I’m guessing they’re probably former NYPD

ELK GROVE (CBS13) — Two Elk Grove police officers are recovering from gunshot wounds they accidentally gave each other while chasing down a suspect.

On Saturday night around 11 p.m. police received the call of a travel trailer burglary in the area of Tegan Road, just off Franklin Road. The caller also said he saw a man move a gun from the pocket of his pants pocket to his sweatshirt pocket. An officer responded to the call and contacted a male and female near the trailer. The officer followed him to the Walgreens parking lot, near Laguna and Franklin, and by then, another officer showed up, according to a statement from Elk Grove Police Department.

I just read today that NYP, in an effort to eliminate AD’s (ND’s if you prefer) with their department Glocks, has the triggers set at, wait for it, 12 POUNDS.

If there are more than 2 cops at a scene with guns drawn, I’ll bet at least one will point his gun directly at another cop, or get in a position behind the suspect where he can get hit in a crossfire.

Here’s that article on NYPD and a 12 pound trigger pull. Jeez.

Not to be disagreeable or anything, but if they were NYPD, wouldn’t they have done a mag dump?
