I saw a video where they asked car thieves which car they would steal, the one with The Club or the one without. The thieves all said “Both”. About 30 seconds with a hacksaw blade was all it took to cut through the steering wheel to remove The Club. Can’t see this taking much more time.

No need for that. Get a Trunk Monkey.

    Someone was using their mind…

Haven’t seen them steering wheel bars in 20 years. About the only thing theywere good for was clubbing the brats in the back seat to keep them from whining.

They save you between $5 and $10 a month with USAA, so they are worth something to me.

These days, what they mostly do is keep your airbag from getting stolen.

If it’s stupid, and it works, then maybe it’s not so stupid.

Pretty tough bike lock, but saw through the seat and off ya go!

  7. Andy says:

Art to work till someone destroys the seat.

That lock looks similar to one on Bosnian Bill’s youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OicNSDPWXFg
Slightly different wrapper, same construction details.

As travel season is upon us, here is Bosnian Bill on luggage security: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbpKhHwwtiY

  9. Albert says:

Even cheaper is a 4 ft Kryptonite cable from Lowe’s/Home Depot and a big padlock. Loop around steering wheel spokes, one cable eye through the other, padlock lower eye to brake pedal. Extra points for turning the wheel to lock first.

Still stealable, of course, but the goal is to just make the other guy’s car an easier and more attractive target than yours.

  10. Weso Phuct says:

It will slow the scum down, they are lazy and will move on to the next car.

  11. Dan Delaware says:

I hear a manual transmission makes a pretty good anti-theft device.

Play nice.
