    That’s a breakwater. Ships sunk purposely.

    They did this at the Normandy landings in 1944, and a big winter storm washed out most of it.

    I believe, that These wrecks are the nucleus for an artifical reef… All the hobby-boats around, and the diver´s have brought me to this conclusion

    Heh…Right off the coast of Vandenberg AFB there are ‘Destroyer Rocks’. In 1923, 7 US Navy Destroyers managed to run aground in formation…..two of the ships were able to free themselves, the rest are still there.

      Damn, Australia. Too bad. Thats way too long of a flight for me. I suppose I “could afford” to do that in a year or two if i wanted to, but theres just too many other things I’d rather do with that much money and I’d feel pretty stupid spending that much on a week or so vacation.
