Yet they try to enforce gun control on us

ATF agents across the country have been working to track down thousands of guns and firearms parts that had been seized by law enforcement and were supposed to be destroyed but were stolen first, according to sources familiar with the effort.

The agents are searching for some of their own retired service weapons as well as guns from other federal law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and DEA.

All of the weapons had been sent to the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ National Firearms and Ammunition Destruction Branch in Martinsburg, West Virginia, to be shredded, according to court documents and congressional letters.

I have long suspected that a Vast Number of “Seized” Guns, Drugs and Money are being ‘Skimmed’ by the low-level thugpigs, simply because it’s All too Easy. These guys were Operating just a little “Too Big” to avoid attention.

Cederq – Yeah, Lock them into Old Cars and toss ’em in the Shredder. Saves having to Duct Tape them Head-to-Toe so they don’t Sqwirm as you stuff them into the Wood-Chipper… I think that most of those Scrap-Shredders are Hydraulic-Motor Driven, so it would be easy to add a Throttle Valve that would make it run real Sllllllooooooowwwly…

” the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ National Firearms and Ammunition Destruction Branch in Martinsburg, West Virginia” aka “the sieve”

But if you’re a FFL holder, your A&D book had better have every “i” dotted and “t” crossed.

…and that kind of theft is not just occurring at the ATF. I’d like some stats as to how many firearms surrendered at these municipal and state run buyback and voluntary turn in programs actually end up in the smelter or a big metal muncher like this one, instead of police officers personal gun safes.

Can you imagine what that would do to democrats and traitors? I prefer watching that then a good hanging because they will be alive for ma few seconds whist being shredded…

Had a S&W 45colt stolen and recovered by Lawton OK police. Magically it disappeared from the evidence room. Never has been returned to me.

That didn’t even have a spot of rust on it! What a waste. . .

Maybe the only thing the ATF is good at was killing Branch Davidians.

    Bullshit.
I’m betting it’s another component of “Fast & Furious”.

A lot of the folks on the Right who want a Civil War keep saying “but we have all the guns!” Yeah, don’t be too sure about that.

    • warhorse says:

we have enough. and the other side lacks training. are they going to just hand out glocks to gangbangers and hope to form an army?

Well, I got down the article far enough to read that a ATF guard had been selling these guns for 16 years…and then the time elapsed and the pay-wall turned all the print into gray.

So, if this story is just telling about an inside theft that has just now been discovered, after 16 years of stealing guns and selling them, maybe the Journal Sentinel was having a slow news day.

Oh, the stealing guard? He got ten years prison and was sentenced in April. i made a trip back and the pay-wall was open for a pinch. All tolled, 3000 guns were stolen. Near as they could figure anyway.

If your comment 'disappears', don't trip - it went to my trash folder and I will restore it when I moderate.
