and in the police state of Australia, one of his mates who attended would have just driven him home, or followed him. (and even THEN, if they were forced to arrest, he would have spent his “cell time” in the staff canteen.) one rule for me and another for thee.
anyone else though, would just get to blow in the bag first, then “lick the stick” if either shows a positive it’s into the bag for you!! none of those “sobriety tests” here.

The sobriety test in the US is to get intoxicated behavior on record whether or not someone is above the legal blood alcohol limit. They definitely convict based on a drivers behavior. Up here you can refuse the sobriety test and they are then obliged to take you to the station for a breathalyzer test. I am of the belief that if you had a couple of beers and got pulled over then your best bet is to make them take you in because even talking to the cops is damaging. I realize that they will impound your vehicle and take you to jail but it’s worth defeating the charges in the long run no matter what the issue is. That said, don’t drive drunk. It’s stupid. Really stupid. Not only are you jeopardizing others as well as yourself but you are inviting a police presence into your life that you don’t need. Stay gray.

I’m surprised I didn’t hear him ask for some “professional courtesy “.
    Hypocritical low life.

I’ve been that fucked up before. It sure is nice to see how thoughtful those two were with making all of the phone calls and all.

He blew .36? That’s fucked up. Not his first time driving pissed and you have to wonder how many times he’s gotten away with it in the past. Before cameras. You hear the cops say “we gotta do this by the book… it’s all on camera.”

1: I love body cams that can’t be turned off and automatically upload.
2: You could tell that they were being that professional because they needed to cover their asses to the nth degree.
