    I think he’s the head honcho Sikh. They are damn good people and make excellent Americans. Most temples serve free food for anyone who’s hungry on Sundays. All they ask is that you cover your head and remove your shoes. They don’t preach or try to convert you. They DO insist that you not be unruly or obnoxious. Around here, they are definitely not averse to kicking your ass and throwing you out.

    Lot’s of Sikhs in the central valley of California. A lot of truck drivers, of all things. A peaceful, hardworking, conservative people.

      They held a memorial service in Manteca yesterday for the Sikh cop that was killed in Houston, Texas last week and will hold another in Sacramento. As with all their events, everyone is invited.

    sikhs are good people, and good neighbors. we had sikh neighbors once years ago. they’d see you doing something in the yard, and they’d be lending a hand before you could even say “yeah sure”. yeah they were kinda weird but get to know them for a while and they are definitely the people you’d want next to you if the shit hits the fan.
