      Exactly right Bright Eyes, that is a double hog scalding/cleaning tank. I have the same one ( grand dad’s ) behind the tractor shed !

    We only use tubs after the river gets cold, probably won’t need a tub that big till November, and the order is dad, mom, kids, sheep, then hogs.

    That looks like it came from a still. What is the big vessel called where the mash is heated to boiling? It can’t be as simple as a “boiler” can it?

    And what’s the deal? It looks like at least two are wearing underwear. Not one should be embarrassed about being neekid, they all look about the same. Fat. Except maybe the one on the left. It looks like she still may have some girlie shape to her.
