Why didn’t they just ask her to point out his house?

A neighbor of the Odessa, Texas, mass shooter says she reported him to police last month — after he threatened her with a rifle for leaving trash near his property — but cops couldn’t find his house on account of it having no GPS address or electricity.

So once again we see another incident that may very well have been preventable had the law been doing their job. And they think taking my gun rights away are going to help this problem. That’s a special kind of stupid right there.

  2. trib says:

    Cops afraid of getting dinged.

  3. Daryl says:

Do they know where she lives? Did they go to her house to take the report? “That’s him right there”.
Or pull up Google Earth and see where he lived?

So……they couldn’t do their job or were afraid to and now MY RIGHTS are being attempted to be taken away?? Yeah, that really sounds fair. Mass punishment. So I guess life really is just like Boot Camp. One person screws up, everyone is held liable.

  5. Highlander says:

It ain’t about preventing these shootings, it’s about using them to destroy the Rights of the People. The more that die the better the Statist like it.

During the 2010 Census, GPS coordinates were assigned to every structure in the USA. How did they miss this one? (I was employed as a team leader during the census)

From what I have read, this was a fairly new subdivision, even though this guy’s “house” looked like an aluminum shed. He had only owned the property for 2 years or so.

      Commercial building

They’re getting burned pretty well over this. Especially in light of them showing up at his house immediately after the shootings. It’s just as Tib says – they run scared unless they’re in a large pack.

You know what. I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. I think I could be a good cop. No, I think I could be a great cop. Why, because I’m at an age where I just don’t give a fuck and am up to doing some crazy shit. I’d find someone like this guy and go in guns blazing. Problem is, with all the political correctness going on these days and the restrictions that a certain segment of society wants to put on cops (read minorities), I’d be fired quicker than you could say harassment. I’d shoot first, ask questions later. It will be old school justice, which is where we need to take society back to. Sure, some innocents might get hurt, but there’s always a price to be paid for living in a free society. But you’d see a lot less mass violence acts being performed because the perps would be dead BEFORE they get a chance to commit an act. Judge/Jury/Executioner. That would be me.

      • Chris Mallory says:

You might look into moving to Iran or North Korea. Here in the US, the Founding Fathers put limits on the government to protect the rights of the citizens. “Judge/Jury/Executioner” doesn’t belong here. Now be a good boy and ask your doctor to increase your meds.

Actually, except for the being a cop part, “Judge/Jury/Executioner” would go a long ways towards correcting the course of this country.

The legal system in the US has proven it can not do the job it is tasked with. From cops having no duty to protect those they are hired to protect to a judiciary that won’t follow the law to the government that has one set of laws for us proles and a different set for themselves. Actually that last one isn’t entirely true, it isn’t there are different laws, it’s just they only apply to us proles.

I would view “Judge/Jury/Executioner” as just a minor extension of “See something/Say something”.

The way things are going in this country “Judge/Jury/Executioner” is coming quickly to a street near you. If you doubt that just wait for president with a D after their name to take office.

You obviously haven’t read enough about the old west. The way it was done back then. They violated the tenets of the founding fathers pretty regularly back then and society was much more polite. Nope. I’m still backing old school justice. This new school shit just ain’t working.

          • FaCubeItches says:

The Romans had even better Old School justice. Plus, it came with public spectacle!

            • Heathen says:

Plus we’ve all those sportsball stadiums that could be “repurposed” and “taking a knee would have a new meaning !

Are we sure it wasn’t the Dallas PD? I mean, their rep for efficiency hasn’t really been improved since 1963.

  9. The police are under no requirements to prevent crimes of any sort. Look up the Supreme Court rulings on this. They only investigate and report after the fact. If anyone is to be held accountable that is up to a different branch of the government. Why are we suprised??

  10. Large Marge says:

According to the Odessa Law Enforcement Officials Force website, the whole joint “…is a diverse and vibrant community…”.

I am not making this up.

Is ‘diverse and vibrant’ a secret code for ‘the next Detroit Baltimore Mogidishu’?

    • Butch says:

Odessa, TX demographics for the entire city are 80% white and 5% black. Lots of drugs going on, but it is a major oilfield town. And oilfield is supposed to be drug-free. And most blacks don’t want to do hard labor (oilfield) so maybe that’s why they become cops.

  11. C.R. says:

Oh come on now ! As long as the “Law Enforcement Officers” all went home safe at the end of their shift everything is OK !! Wouldn’t want any of the over paid dough nut eating slobs to break a sweat , or God forbid actually risk spilling their cup of coffee . Any P.D. that has “To Protect and Serve plastered on their squad cars should be sued for false advertising
