I hope Gowdy is more useful as a lawyer than he was as a congressman. He got nothing accomplished with all the investigations. It all ended up as a Kabuki theater. I don’t doubt that he’s a smart guy. Paul Ryan ham stringed him. Time will tell.

You beat me to it. He was just a blow hard in Congress.

No, no, no. I’m an “idea guy,” not an “implementation guy”. You rabble are supposed to do the heavy lifting.

Trey Gowdy got something accomplished while a Congressman…

He gets a Congressional Pension at 62….

“Under both CSRS and FERS, Members of Congress are eligible for a pension at the age of 62 if they have completed at least five years of service. Members are eligible for a pension at age 50 if they have completed 20 years of service, or at any age after completing 25 years of service.”

  4. Mitch Lockler says:

This is on hold for now due to a lobbying issue with Mr. Gowdy, I dont think he can serve till Jan. or Feb. 2020 so it may never happen.

  5. Skipperdaddy says:

They said he can join in January.

  6. WDS says:

Gowdy is still involved with the largest law and lobbying (emphasis on lobbying) firm in the southeast. Trump would be well advised to keep Gowdy as far away as possible, he’s all talk, no results and I don’t care he was a successful prosecutor, he didn’t do squat in the eight years in the house.

  7. Lepke says:

His best comment was when asked about impeaching Obama he said “Have you met Joe Biden ?”..great line !

Play nice.
