Amazing how the lying, oath-taking, treasonous motherfuckers can blithely ignore the Constitution.

  2. Vicious Sid says:

Perhaps not – that’s an interesting legal opinion. However, declaring sanctuary for pro-gun individuals DOES carry the force of the will of the people. Bring it on, numbnuts.

  3. Bad_Brad says:

““Neither local governments nor local constitutional officers have the authority to declare state statutes unconstitutional”

No but 10K PISSED OFF PATRIOTS DO ASSHOLE. I bet he’d change his tune if 500 or so armed Militia members showed up on his front lawn Christmas morning.

  4. Dano says:

FUCK Herring. Since when does he get to declare Federal immigration law null and void? This asshole is soon to find out his gun laws aren’t worth the paper they were printed on. Just because you are a prosecutor doesn’t make one a badass. It just makes them “think” they are badasses because they have the power of the pen. My money is on the power of the gun.

  5. pigpen51 says:

Well, crap, that changes everything. Stand down, good people of Virginia, you are now planning on breaking the law, according to the Honorable Mark Herring. Herring, sounds like a fish. I say throw him back, and keep your guns.

  6. Atlas says:

So this moron issues a ‘legal opinion.’ He tells these sanctuary localities that their decrees and resolutions have no force of law. Of course, he fails to realize that his ‘legal opinion’ has no force of law either.

He also says that the law enforcement officers have no authority to ignore the statutes the VA legislature is puking out. He is right in a sense, but fails to realize that these officers and sheriffs have a DUTY to ignore these ‘laws.’

I wonder if this AG even knows what his oath of office says?

  7. Dave says:

It amazes me still that these Demongrats are so ignorant that they believe what they say. I’m a Marine Vietnam Vet, and I’ve had enough. I’m physically able to stand my ground. How far will they go? Just push the button. That’s all it’s gonna take.

I’m 60 years old, in great shape for my age, and have made it a habit to never back down if I’m in the right.

Liberals are a proud product of our failed education system. Instead of learning civics they learn what proper pronouns are necessary for the mentally ill/sexually confused.

I will answer if called to help preserve the Constitution in Virginia. At 63 I’m not about to lose my country to Marxists.

Us old guys are the perfect soldier… we are use to getting up several times through the night, we don’t chase pussy as much as we use too and we are grouchy. Shoot up our LP/OP and our billets? We are gonna bring hell down on you just because we can. Sargent bitching at us? Love talk as far as that goes, our wives can make a Sargent-Major blush…

        • Wirecutter says:

Not only that, but I’ve lived a longer life than most of my old friends. I don’t really give a shit whether I live or die, as long as I can give my friends something to talk about.

I am in my forties, been planning for such a fight all my adult life, and am currently running with (and ahead of most) guys half my age, in a very physical and mentally demanding line of work. Also made my living by my own wits for much of my life. Not the sort of person that these sorry ass commie scum should be wanting to be looking over their shoulders for. But you can’t fix stupid, so keep pushing, you murdering, thieving scum of the earth. Hell yes, I can shoot, move and communicate. And I know how to build a sturdy gallows, tie a noose, and in a pinch, I can slap the hell out of a horse’s rump, too. Adapt improvise and overcome is all I have ever done. Push that button…

  10. bogsidebunny says:

That “no force of law” apply to illegal alien sanctuary cities as well? Not in the Liberal “destroy America” world. it’s them agin’ us and we better be ready to step up to the plate and swing the bat to annihilate them.

  11. Gryphon says:

Commies Can’t ‘back down’. That’s why this ‘tard is doubling down on Stupid. He’s obviously never heard that quote of “A Law that is Repugnant to the Constitution is No Law at all.” Don’t remember who said it, but I think it was a Supreme Court Justice, a long time ago.
The F’kkn Arrogance of these people, acting like the Will of the People means nothing to them; They sure will be Surprised if (when) they are confronted by Armed Citizens and some Rope…

    • pigpen51 says:

Calm down, there. If you fire the first shot, you are in the wrong. This is still America, and the constitution is still the law of the land. A bit tattered and bloodied, but still in effect. If a government entity starts to wholesale take rights away from entire states, and kills a large enough number of people, nobody will have to issue a call to arms. That will be the time to start loading up your cars and heading to help. But don’t go off half cocked, and don’t encourage others to do the same thing. Only people who want to start a war do that. Or perhaps people working for the government. They are both wrong.

    • Sanders says:

      Let’s you and them fight!

    • james says:

this is a 4GW situation. the bad people have to step off first and use violence to enforce their laws. It’s all about the moral high ground, public relations and propaganda. the prog/communists don’t have the moral high ground now. the 2A forces shouldn’t hand them the high ground by doing something stupid.

  13. riverrider says:

as my mom used to say, his opinion ” isn’t worth a pinch of puppy pooh.” all I know is I don’t see anybody shakin in their shoes nor talking about backing down. to the contrary, we’re buying guns and ammo at record levels and I doubt anybody is doing that so they can turn them in or register them. i’m buying tourniquets and antibiotics myself. I didn’t serve 30 years securing freedom for the world to give it away here. he wants my guns he’s going to have to man up and come get them. I doubt he’d make it far out of Richmond. to the hilt !

  14. They don’t care if the local Sheriff enforces the law(s) or not. It’s the businesses selling AR’s and other weapons. ammo and extras they are after. If pop.s gun store can’t get AR’s in to sell eventually their law will be reality. Especially since you know the big national stores will not violate the state law. The Femocrats can say whatever they want cause as long as they hold the office they will get their way unless the people actually march and remove them. Sheriffs can declare sanctuary counties all they like but the clock is already ticking and the ball is actually in the counties corner and they will not make the only move that will count. Sure it may stop actual confiscation but the Femocrats ain’t gonna do that they will eliminate the guns slowly by stopping the supply and then waiting until a gun owner has a paranoid widow or children/grand children who are not into guns and turn them in after the old guy is dead….

That is if the Femocrat house of cards lasts long enough anyway.

  15. MikeH says:

your laws dont mean much around here …Boy!
and if you come knocking at 0400 you better bring friends because no quarter will be asked

I don’t GAF about what the AGs say.

Talk to your local sheriff. Every election. Without fail, nail them down.

  18. WestcoastDeplorable says:

I’m anxiously awaiting the day when SCOTUS rules all these restrictive firearms “laws” UNConstitutional and we get unconditional carry. Maybe after Pres Trump gets to appoint another Conservative. That’ll show these puny tin-pot dictators like this fucked up governor.

    • Elmo says:

And don’t overlook the number of Trump nominees that are being confirmed to the lower federal and appeals courts. That will make a huge difference.
      Four more years.
Totalitarian, gun-grabbing tears are like honey to me.

  19. Ed says:

Gonna be big doin’s in Richmond on the 20th of January for Lobby Day. A slew of people from VA and from surrounding states (I’m driving three hours) will be showing up in peaceful protest.

    See the VCDL site:

  20. Crotalus says:

Of course they have no “force of law”. They, like the Declaration of Independence, aren’t meant to have “force of law”! They’re declarations of war, and the law be damned!

  22. Kimberwarrior45 says:

I believe the IRA had a view that might be accurate in this situation-He(they) will have to lucky all the time whereas we need to be lucky only once. Since it is shown that trying to enforce un-Constitutional laws puts their family in danger I believe that some will think turn about is fair play. Hope he realizes he (and the Governor and the Legislators) are not Judge Dredd or King George.

  23. Random Poster says:

And yet a sanctuary city for illegals holds water???

  24. Earth Pig says:

  25. bob says:

so he would be ok with states saying they won’t enforce the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments. someone should tell the mo-ron that the constitution trumps sate law.

  28. Rick says:

I am staying away from Lobby Day, best case scenario is that the State Police cause another Charlottesville.
Worst case is that a false flag op happens with a Antifa type starts shooting, and the StAte will blame it on the good guys. Having plenty of posts like the ones on this page to point to.
I have been asking Deputies in several counties in VA if they are going to be taking people’s guns. To a man they said “Hell No”.
But one told me this weekend ” I will guit first, but if you don’t think it can happen, just remember New Orleans, those guns that were confiscated, were never returned”

  29. wayne says:

IMO the people of Virginia are f*****. These laws do not come from royalty, but rather from ELECTED officials. If the situation is dire enough, they could simply recall the representatives that are offending the Constitution – but they won’t (or don’t know that option is available). Recall elections, impeachments, etc. are supposed to be used prior to armed insurrection but I have a feeling both sides are itching for a fight.

  30. Sedition says:

…but when a long train of abuses & usurpations [begun at a distinguished period, &] pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to subject reduce them to arbitrary power under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government & to provide new guards for their future security.

Wonder if those asshats ever pondered the meaning of this line, or was it on thier school’s banned reading list.

  31. LoL No says:

It’s “consent of the governed” not “consent of the ruled”. This tyrannical piece of shit is in for a rude awakening.

  32. Sanders says:

“No force of law”? What the hell does he think the Second Amendment is for? To back up the People’s “force of law” against tyranny.

Tyranny of the majority is a feature of democracy. Except, we are not a “democracy”.
