What? No ordinary citizens concerned about government overreach? Seriously?

Militia groups, gun hardliners, and far-right activists are set to converge on Virginia’s capital in Richmond next week as the state’s new Democratic majority considers legislation that would enact sweeping gun control measures.

No, I’m not going. I wouldn’t go even if I lived in Virginia – it has the potential to turn very bad and besides, you don’t do battle on your enemy’s ground.
Yes, I do support the groups organizing it and I recognize their efforts and supported them by sending a few bucks.

I live about an hour away. I had considered going but I think it a fools errand given that the Lefties have already made up their mind and will pass whatever they want anyway PLUS the money is better spent fighting these assholes in court. 120 jurisdictions have already given the Governor and the Legislature the middle finger. Not much more needs to be said until the left make their moves.

The Senators and Delegates are already on notice.

Having a bunch of angry white guys strutting around for the TV cameras will give the left all the ammunition they want. It’s all a TV show.

What this whole thing has really accomplished is waking up the voters to the evilness of the left and their agendas… and that’s a good thing. Far too many voters stayed home and now realize their regret for doing so.

  2. Nemo says:

A lot of the other liberty sites are advising against attending due the potential of a false flag event. In any event, there WILL be other attendees that favor the legislation creating potential for violence and if AntiFa shows up, it’ll be shit show.

  3. Rayvet says:

Ever want to kill someone? You will if you read the frigging comments from that left wing rag. Bunch of whining NY liberals thinking they know what they’re talking about regarding guns, the constitution etc. Again, if you don’t want to turn yourself in a bad mood DON’T read the comments after that article.

  4. Kapt Kaos says:

We’re way past the point of protesting in enemy territory. Globohomo isn’t going to have a sudden change of heart if we all show up anyway. So far we’ve kicked a pretty good sized hole in their ass and they are desperate because they can hear the footsteps. The best indicator of their fear is that they don’t even try to hide their crimes. Not only that but I won’t be surprised to see a full on false flag happen there and anyone in the crowd will be responsible for making it oh so easy for the commies.

    Stay away from crowds.

  5. Winston Smith says:

You don’t win wars by fighting on the enemy’s prepared ground and butting heads with their grunts. You win by decapitating their leadership and making them want to Quit before THEY have to pay the price.

The next one is going to be a contest of assassinations. It wont be pretty and both sides need to stop and leave each other the fuck alone before we reach the point of no return.

“It wont be pretty and both sides need to stop and leave each other the fuck alone before we reach the point of no return.”

      Implies ‘moral equivalency’.

      Ain’t none.

One side wants ta be left alone.

The other is gettin’ boxcars ready.

  6. Hybo says:

Fool’s errand? Did the minutemen think it was a fool’s errand to fight? You even said it in your last line, “far too many voters stayed home.” If I was within 3 hours of there you could bet I would be there even for just the numbers and support. No need to look angry or act stupid for the cameras. If you con’t want to be interviewed than politely point them to the right person to talk.

Everyone close: Get off your ass, make a sign and get yourself (and everyone you can drag) over there and actually do something.

    • Bad_Brad says:

The Minute Men were smart enough not to start shit on someone else’s turf. Patriots control 97% of the recently redistricted land mass. Make them come to you. Not to mention you’re walking into a kill box.

    • Kapt Kaos says:

Yeah, well, the Red Coats were based in Boston. It seems the Minute Men stayed home and waited for them on their own prepared ground and set one ambush after another rather than make stupid cardboard signs and go get their pictures taken and possibly get their asses shot off.

      Stay away from crowds.

    • Hardnox says:

Yup, it’s a fools errand. Do what exactly?

The legal battle will be in the courts, Think of all the millions spent by all those coming to protest. Protest what? The left has already made up their minds. The money is best spent in court battles.

On a side note, there are plenty of dumbasses advocating for killing politicians. That’s insane on it’s face. Secondly, why post it on-line? Thirdly, who would do it and risk everything?

The Shit will hit the fan if and when they begin confiscation. We’ll see then.

Meanwhile, there are plenty of 2nd Amendment attention whores who are using this event for their own purposes.

In the end, it’s up to the voters to remove these legislators via recall or via the next election. The voters have been served notice because the left has already declared their intentions.

      • Hybo says:

Ok, so do nothing then, until they come for our guns. Yea, that makes sense.

        • Aesop says:

The choice has never been between doing something vs. doing nothing.
It’s always been a choice between doing something stupid and futile vs. doing something intelligent and effective.

The Richmond rally sounds neither intelligent nor effective.

And the people throwing shade at all criticism would boo folks for asking someone on a high building ledge not to jump.

      • riverrider says:

yeah, court battles. that’s what won the revolution right?

  7. Fully expect some antifa goons to launch a false flag operation, shooting up some cops from the crowd in order to start a massacre.

  8. Bad_Brad says:

The lefts been planning this wet dream of theirs for a while. They WANT to kill you.

  9. Gordon says:

Good intentions but I have a bad feeling about it. They are going to pass the laws. Save your energy for later.

  10. Ohio Guy says:

And the msm cranks away at the handle to that jack in the box false flag shit show. So sad.

  11. Cavguy says:

Five days and a wake up

  12. brent says:

Everyone DOES realize that this is one of the ways that they make their lists, right?

  13. Gryphon says:

I live about 1-1/2 Hours from Richmond, and had been considering going to the Rally with a few other people from around here, but as the ‘Hype’ around the event has increased, we decided that if it turned into the kick-off of the Boogaloo, we would be more ‘effective’ in our own A.O.

The ‘arguments’ For and Against the Rally (and the wisdom of attending) have been Beaten to Death, Chopped Up and Burned, and the ashes Scattered to the Winds. None of the arguments will change 2 Facts:

    1) The Rally will take place, and thousands will attend.

    2) Any Violence that occurs will be initiated by the government and/or bolsheviks.

IF there is Violence it WILL be the Signal that the bolsheviks Want and are Starting (un)Civil War.

    Buy More Ammo.

    • crazyeighter says:

      3. Any violence that is initiated by the government and/or bolsheviks will be blamed on the pro-2A community even if they take all the casualties.

      • Shell says:

Precisely as it happened at the Texas biker meetup a few years ago. Killed and wounded were all bikers, bikers were said by the legion of cops there to have fired the first shot, pretty much everyone who’d rode a motorcycle to the place was arrested and given a million dollar bond…months later all charges were dropped when it was found that only a couple of armed bikers had even fired shots and all those killed were shot with rifles, which only the police had that day. But the tale of bloodthirsty biker gangs shooting it out had already been told and no one cared to trumpet the later developments as loudly as they had the original headline-grabbing tale.

  14. Kurt says:

I like the idea someone put out (I believe it was here) that was to fake ’em into believing the 2A crowd was going to show then “blockade” the city. Have every tow truck from the surrounding area pick up a dead vehicle and drop it off on every road in and out of the capitol. Two or three deep if possible. Maybe a tilt bed full of those concrete barriers and/or concertina thrown in. Shut the city down. The fall back to the home AO and prepare for the inevitable.

    • Jeffery in Alabama says:

I remember the end result of a five gallon bucket of roofing tacks falling off a flat bed pickup on I-65 just outside Birmingham years ago. I can only imagine what it would be like if that happened simultaneously in the north and south bound lanes.

I don’t think I’d go to Richmond on the 20th even if I lived closer. There are far better and safer ways to let the legislators and the governor know that unconstitutional overreaches will not be tolerated. This event has too great of a potential for false flags, bad press, and an ambush, or all of the above.

      • Cederq says:

        Kind of like caltrops Jeffery?

        • Rick says:

The Kiawe tree in Hawaii has its own caltrops. Ow, they sure are painful. One three inch spike came right through my big toe, toenail included. Had to go to ER for that one.

  15. Sedition says:

Let’s face it…both the Federal and States governments have been warned about further attacks on the Second Amendment.
If they haven’t learned yet, perhaps it will be time to teach them once they go full retard.
Let them sweat until then. Stay frosty until they fuck up…then fight like there will be no tomorrow and have no mercy, because they damn sure won’t give you any.
Any plans you have and transmit, they will learn.

  16. Aesop says:

Going by the comments here (which may be my mistake), I don’t care whether I’ve wrangled with anyone on things here or not:
    I’m proud of you guys.

You’ve thought it over, figured this out, and drawn the logical conclusions.

On any twenty websites we all visit, maybe even comment on or contribute to, there’s a horde of keyboard commando wannabes who aren’t close to VA (mostly anonymous), and who have no intention of going to Richmond, but they’re happy to egg the yahoos on that will.

There’s going to be a fight someday, but Richmond is neither the time nor place to kick it off.
Richmond is going to be the 21st century Boston Massacre snowball fight with redcoats, with a similar ending, in any three chances out of four.

That won’t help anyone. But there’s always a mob willing to stick their faces into a propeller.

I’m impressed that nobody here is itching to do that too.

The best case is that Richmond is fizzle, and if turnout is underwhelming, that’s probably the closest to a “win” that we’ll see. Bad ideas need to wither on the vine. We have too much work left to do, and too far to go, to sacrifice good people for nothing, and hand ammunition to the other side for nothing in return.

I never thought common sense and sanity would be such a tough sell.

    • crazyeighter says:

I’d settle for Antifa beating the crap out of the Demanding Mommies with no pro-2A people in sight, but that’s just me.

  17. Paraclete says:

They’re only going to allow residents in to speak to
their delegates…So being there would only be symbolic.
With the commies’ mindset, you’d only intimidate them
at the same time make them mad and/or frightened.
(Not that I care about commies feelings, they deserve
to be beaten like a baby seal.)
I do agree with making a statement though.
But this event has all the markings of a set up, just
as Charolletsville was. Matt Bracken and others are
warning and suggesting other ways of handling this.
As ‘ol Remus would remind us…
    “Stay Away From Crowds !”
    At least for now…..

  18. Rooster says:

This is a hearts and minds thing folks. The Marxists are coming at every level and playing for keeps. They want people to play with guns in public and hopefully kill a few people….refuse to play that game! This is Govt over reach and needs to be met with smart resistance.
My wife is a business owner and leader in our community and got a disturbing call from other similar owners recently. Newly elected board members have continued their marxist ways by mandating local eateries use a specific “eco-friendly” container for food stuffs. This shit is about 10 times more expensive than other acceptable options and will put the hurt on these types of businesses. Fortunately, the “Democrats for America” sponsored agents are in a minority and this will get shot down for now. If they keep winning elections we are pretty much done. Gun rights are just a slice of the pie thats for the taking….they want to control much much more!
