Below the Radar: Handgun Purchaser Licensing Act

New York – -( With a lot of the focus being on modern multi-purpose semiautomatic long-guns like the AR-15 rifle, we forget that anti-Second Amendment extremists have other targets as well. Perhaps the most notable, despite the landmark Heller and McDonald cases, are handguns. When you think about it, targeting handguns make for a more practical (even if they are protected under the Second Amendment) target, especially when looking at the Justice Department’s crime stats.

We should not forget that Sarah Brady long ago called for a “needs-based licensing” scheme. Well, the first step to getting there is to actually get any kind of licensing scheme passed, and the two who are trying to make that infringement on our Second Amendment rights happen are Representative Jamie Raskin & Senator Chris Van Hollen via the Handgun Purchaser Licensing Act. In the House, this bill is known as HR 3285, while the Senate version is S 1844.

    One more reason I’m glad I’m 77.

  2. the other other Andrew says:

Once again, the 2A protects, or should protect, ownership and carry of all weapons. ALL WEAPONS.

It’s what ‘Arms’ in the context of the 2nd Amendment means. Weapons. Pistols, rifles, shotguns, brass knuckles, switchblades, butterfly knives, bowie knives, swords, axes, maces and mace, spears, claymores (big swords and also directional mines)

Fuuuuuuuck. What part of the 2A don’t these ass-clowns understand?

And, really, some of the worse ass-clowns who don’t understand the 2A are supposedly pro-gun bloggers who don’t want anyone having what they have or don’t want the boat rocked or are just fucking quislings and mercenary assholes.

Seriously. There is one ‘pro-gun’ writer (well, actually several) who doesn’t (don’t) want people to have access to arms unless they can pay for huge assed amounts of training and only able to afford quality guns and quality ammo and quality holsters and and and and.

What part of ‘Shall not be Infringed’ don’t all of these asswipes not fucking understand?

    Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck fuckity-fuck.

    Fuck them all.

Want to push everyone over the edge? Keep this shit up.

…and I’m sure that the criminals and gangbangers are going to RUN RIGHT DOWN to the licensing authority to apply for permission to purchase stolen handguns from their local fence or other UNLICENSED firearms dealer.

We are electing idiots. Please Stop.

I don’t need a license to vote, carry or speak. It’s as simple as that.
