Disarm them and make them stand down

Rep. Chris Stewart of Utah, concerned about the armed agents that surrounded Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s property, is mulling a measure to cut funding for any “paramilitary units” that work for the Bureau of Land Management, the Internal Revenue Service and other federal regulatory agencies.
“There are lots of people who are really concerned when the BLM shows up with its own SWAT team,” he said, the Salt Lake Tribune reported. “They’re regulatory agencies. They’re not paramilitary units, and I think that concerns a lot of us.”

The federal bureaucracy is way too overarmed. Those billions of rounds of ammo, those assault rifles and riot style shotguns and the armored vests belong in civilian homes not in arms rooms of regulatory agencies. Also would not hurt to put those 16,000 IRS agents on the border.

I didn’t read the article before I checked his vote on the budget continuing resolution for 2014 at the Freedom works web site. He voted for the CR which continues to fund all the federal SWAT teams along with everything else. Just another POS politician. His votes in 2013 were just as bad. For increase the debt limit and for the Ryan / (dumber than a rock) Patty Murry budget.
    Couldn’t find his NDAA vote,

OK I found his 2014 NDAA vote here: http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2013/roll244.xml

He voted for it. Fuck him.
